      True, “there are” is more grammatically correct, but the amount of natives who speak grammatically correct all the time is pretty low. You’re good bro.

    • @TheGeorgeD13
      @TheGeorgeD13 Před 2 lety +1

      @@blacksunangel636 No problem. What's more important than being grammatically correct is to have what you're saying be understood and that you understand what they're saying.
      If you go to any English speaking country, especially the UK, the US, and Australia/New Zealand, you'll notice we're very loose with the rules of grammar in the vein of stuff like your "there's" example. We do that sort of thing quite often.
      And frankly, you probably understand that rule better than most English speakers lol.

If it is only small disease like fever or cold. We can go directly to drugstore and pharmacist can choose medicine for us without any prescription. And if you just exam your eye for buying eyeglasses or contact lenses. You don't need to see the eye doctor. You just go to the eyeglasses shop, exam your eye and choose eye frame. Eye doctor for us is like when you really have problem or disease with your eyes.

    I used to feel nervous when I had to book appointmens on the phone, but I've overcome it completely (at least in my native language German). The secretary used the phrase "Gotcha".
    What does it mean?
    Is this a polite way to say I got it?
    Thank you so much.
    Your English lessons are amazing. 👍😊👏

    Is it common for a clinic secretary to use "alrighty" in this situation? Can I mimic that in a similar setting?

    Great lesson :) Most of the time, I'm totally ok with making an appointment over the phone in my native language. Sometimes I start to feel nervous when the person on the phone is being not friendly.

    Great video again. You seem to know how to make me understand a still learn something.
    I don't like to schedule an appointment over the phone in any language, especially if the other person is impatient.
    I tend to speak slow and I used to stutter a lot.
