In my opinion it’s always going to be worth buying because it’s literally the only keyboard that is specifically designed to work perfectly with FL Studio. For some dumb reason these companies are obsessed with only making keyboard controllers that have deep integration with ableton as if we all just use ableton. At least make more controllers with deep integration with Logic Pro or studio one if you just gonna hate on FL Studio 😂
What about with 3rd party plugins?
I agree. However, to a certain degree they can only optimise the hardware + layout for specific tasks in this case applications. And to some degree it's just marketing (money).
Beautiful I have it since 2days now and it’s amazing before I used the Akai MK3 Mini this is much better for FL Studio
Watching this just reminds me how many different workflows exist to get the job done. Options, man. 🔥
Facts bro got to have more tools than just a hammer to build
Bro, I appreciate this video. I stopped using FL for a long time, but recently over the last year I've been getting back into it, and I see if you have the knowledge the possibilities come in many combos. anyways I like how u broke it down in easy-to-understand verbiage......
Coppin that
Thank you so much for this video! I got one.
no problem bro thanks for watching , what do you think about it , do you like it?
@@JaeFreshmen I'm really enjoying it! Especially since I'm still learning how to play the keys it has really helped me.
I was going to get the new 49 key but I think I’m going with the new Arturia essential mk3 because I’m working with cubase too.
Dope channel keep doing your thing Bro !
much appreciated bro thanks💯
@@JaeFreshmen 👊🏿
I just got the 61 yesterday I’m using the mpc more right now the cold part about this keyboard is the scale and chord feature work on my mpc that’s fire and I can change programs on some vst’s that the mpc won’t do with using mouse …the only thing I don’t like about scale mode I wish the keys that’s not being used can be muted instead of being moved in key so u could learn the correct way to stay in key 🔥🔥
thats dope bro , definitely miss having a keyboard and yea i dont like that either because if your beginner using the scale mode you can trick your ears to hearing the wrong key its the same as the fl key midi controller i have but i don't really use it , it to small akai need an 88 keys
Score Log!!! good lookin bro
thanks for watching bro
This is the best video I've seen for how to use FL Keys into a workflow. Convinced me to buy it.
yea bro i think its a good gear to have specially if your primarily on fl , you cant really beat that being the only keyboard that can function well with this daw, thanks for watching
whats it like?
@@Turtles8179 trust me its good bro let alone this the only fully compatible keyboard for fl you cant go wrong but either this or arturia
@@JaeFreshmen how would u say it compares to the minilab 3, specifically for fl studio use? i just love the minilabs look and apparently it has a great keybed but idk how good the fl integration is
@@Turtles8179 i don't have the minilab but if you want something thats going to function for fl properly i would just go with fl keys
They make an FL KEYS 61 key now too.
0:56 bug top right realized he was on camera
🤣🤣facts he was like "my bad homie, didn't know you was still filming"
For me personally the fl keys mini is worth it because of its compatibility with fl studio and its portability. The akai mpk mini is a great option too but the keys IMO are too tiny on the mpk
keys are super small on the akai mini lol i dont know how people play on it, im use to 88 keys so i definitely appreciate fl keys for that
Got mine on it's way. Can't wait to test this thang out. Appreciate the review fam 🔥
thanks for watching i think you will love it
@@JaeFreshmen No problem. Just subscribed
@@sodayumsouthern much love
@@JaeFreshmen Already
how is it?
Is there aftertouch on the 61?
Are the keys weighted?
Missing the arp
Nice video
thanks for watching
@@JaeFreshmen yessir learning mines today. Almost got the mini but I play keys. 🦾🦾
I have an akai mpk 249 and i love it but im thinking of switching to this keyboard because its smaller but not mini and id like a little more room on my desk plus the added flstudio intergration idk im still on the fence
no reason to be on the fence bro its literally the only keyboard that works fully with fl studio , i dont think you will go wrong with it and if anything buy it and test it out for a few days and if you dont like it just return it
Dope review man I think I might go for it myself!
One question regarding scale mode: Can you play MULTIPLE notes at once and still be in the same scale? Or am I limited to simply playing single notes, in a scale? Does the feature only work for single/mono notes?
In other words, can I play multiple keys/chords at once on the actual keys (not pre-set chords on pads) and have scale mode simply correct any notes played?
Or am I limited to simply playing single notes, in a scale?
did u get it? if so how is it?
@@Turtles8179 it's great! Exactly like how I thought it would be. Scale mode is awesome, as well as all its other features. It's also a decent controller for the DAW, you can pretty much do everything on the channel rack on it, plus some cool plugin parameters too. Especially Image Line's VSTs as they link up to it nicely (changing presets etc) I think it's worth it. P.s. I wish they'd just make one with more keys, which they probably will in the near future, in which case I'll regret buying this one. Otherwise, it's dope!
@@jokeymonkey thanks!
i just got the fl studio 61 key today messing with with watching this
thats what's up bro what you think about it so far
I guess my 37 is defective, because the drum pattern mode doesn’t light up.
Does the keys feel cheap toy like? or does it have a professional feel to them?
i would say it in the middle bro as someone that play on a yamaha clp series don't expect a grand touch but it aint cheap to where you can hear it clicking like crazy it has some resistance to it when you press overall novation makes great keybed im not affiliated with them either this just my honest opinion
Would this work with the Maschine MK3 running Maschine 2 as a VST so you can use the keys and controls to run FLS and using the MK3 to sample and make beats in Maschine? Or would the routing not work like that?
yes it can work you would just have it both plug in via usb and theres way to route the sound in maschine to your fl studio mixer as well
@@JaeFreshmen That is awesome! I will definitely have to look into that thank you so much for the info!
@@connormckay9429 no problem and heres a good video to get you started czcams.com/video/JHw2hMPmnG8/video.html
I have just bought the FL KEY MINI, but most of the FL functionalities do not work, like Channel Rack buttons. When I hold down Shift, only two pads light up which are labeled Custom. Wasn't it supposed to be mapped to FL by default? What am I missing?
You probably need the driver.
U must have FL studio 20.9.2 or higher for it to work properly 🤷🏿
maybe but why not update its a lot better now
Not if you cracking fl studio lol
This keyboard just barely came on to the market just 8+ months ago. That's really not that long ago. The title of your video makes it sound as if it's been out much longer, it hasn't. Also, the reviews on this keyboard have been really good from most reviewers. A lot of people really like it. So it's already been more than well established that this keyboard is worth buying. I dunno, I'm confused. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume you didn't realize this was just release less than a year ago and that you are not aware of all the great reviews it's received.
you thinkin to deep about it bro and 8 months is quite a long time specially with other keyboards that came out after like the new aturia mini etc and honestly theres way better keyboard imo so that why i title it that and just because many people did a review doesn't mean i shouldn't put on my take out on it and neither should you, like why did you watch this video if you already seen few reviews saying its good its just about different perspective bro
