i think what's so perfect about gowon's voice is that even though she's not very technically advanced, she has such a distinctive and unique colour that it adds an extra level to all loona's songs
Gowon is like the piccolo of the Loona orchestra. Her singing parts make it perfect. Sure, you could just have a good solo song (One And Only). But her clear, sweet notes in Star, Rosy, and One Way (ending line 🥲) are just so gooood❣️
her vocal color is literally her representative color. it sounds like eden green to me. idk how to describe it. this is why she's my bias. i've never heard anyone like her voice in the industry
The issue with BBC is that they don't want to reserve their main vocalists for the choruses and bridges on the title tracks for some reason. You get things like Heejin or Chuu doing both verses and choruses in songs like So What and PTT where the verses don't need a wide vocal range and could perfectly go to members like Go Won, Vivi or Yeojin that can't always be hitting those super strong high notes without going into falsetto nor do a vocal run like Jinsoul does, but have perfectly good voices for more middle of the road lines that are instead given to members with strong voices. And to make matters worse this just exhausts more those members prior to their big notes, making it harder for them to hit those notes live. They've admittedly have been getting better at it since Hi High, you can see this on how many more lines both Hyunjin and Yeojin have been getting compared to before. But it's also getting more noticeable the less members get this treatment.
@@patja89 for sure agree. i don’t like it when loona’s situation is compared to other groups, because often times there’s a decent reason for “unfair” distribution. but in loona’s case, the word that comes to mind is just… mean. literally not even giving ViWon throwaway lines like “paint the town” just feels straight up cruel. like what is BBC trying to accomplish except hurt their feelings LMAO.
