I purchased a Epiphone 60’s standard in bourbon burst I put a Super Distortion in the bridge and Grover locking tuners 😐 this may be my favorite guitar ever 😊
I totally agree ! The Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s, is not only great guitar, you can not beat the Value for money in Quality, Build and Sound of this Epiphone !

699$ isn’t exactly budget but ok.
Thing is a lot of NOT gibsons sound better today because as technology and pickups sound better , amps are so much more tuneable , win win , you dont need gibsons , people are rocking gigs with ibenez and budget prs guitars , people lose interest in big brand prices faster today , its easy to replace /swap out cheap humbuckers with jaz toned pickups as they go
