I'm pretty sure that as a 53 yr old guy, from St. Peters, Missouri, sitting in my dumb little cube at work, I shouldn't have a tear in my eye. But here I am. Can't wait for the grand tour and ultimately more sailing adventures! Good on you two!
Amanda O'Boyle yes. I sure hope he took the inspiration and did something he feels passionate about. Not all of us will sail around the world, but all of us can pursue something more
Congrats all around, from the very proud craftsmen/women who built her with pride, to you her new stewards as she is about to embark upon the seas. QUESTION - Is this to be named: La Vagabonde Two (2) or Deux, or will you petition King Neptune to allow her to go forth as LA VAGABONDE ?????????
Started watching the newest videos from the past month or so. Came backwards to watch these earlier ones. Simply put, you guys are truly great humans. Seeing you early on and more recently with your new “vagabond” son, just amazing!
Amidst all the chaos, misery, and destruction in the world, there is a small pocket of people doing amazing acts of love for the couple of La Vegabonde. Let us not overshadow how wonderful people can be.
6:20 - Aw look at them, look at them both! Smiling and glowing! 8:05 - Yes, being jetlagged grants permission to be grumpy with no repercussions. 8:13 - I *_want._* 10:14 - Every single time. Whenever I hear Riley's laugh I will atuomatically get a huge smile and sometimes laugh along! That moment was so heartwarming to witness
I saw my reflection in my phone watching this and had a smile on my face the whole time! This is so amazing and exciting for you both. I love the video by everyone who made the boat. So touching. Cheers to your new adventures 😊❤
Yes, great job Outremer. Clearly a forward thinking company who understands social media. I have been a long time Lagoon fan. Now I will consider Outremer when the time comes.
For those of you who might have missed it..... Outremer has an excellent fast speed video that could have been a snapshot taken at the end of each day of production, from first day of work to the day she was splashed. Look for the CZcams VIDEOS called: Outremer La Vagabonde. Its an interesting story of how we came to be here, on this day, today. Watching that short video today, from all the various trademen/women who contributed a small part of the workload that created La Vagabonde showed a lot about the pride this company takes in their products. Sure, they understand Social Media, but when your potential customer takes an individual look at La Vagabonde for themself, that's where the quality and workmanship will really tell the story.
Bruce you are correct. Time will tell. Lets see what problems the cat develops and how well the company addresses those issues. The french have a bad rep for poor service. Lets hope outreamer does a better job then what i have seen from Lagoon and Fountain Pajot.
In December 2019 I’m rewatching your older videos and watching everything you two have done since this moment is amazing. Watching you become parents become adults. Even though your viewers don’t know you personally it feels like we’re along for the journey.
I have loved Bob Dylan since 1964 when I first heard him sing.and you two knowing the words to Maggie's Farm is one of the better things I've love your for. Thanks for the great entertainment and clear skies and following seas, God Bless. Your excitement on your new ship was palatable and congratulations. I hope you have more fun and joy in the coming years.
This is so beautiful. In the advert for audible alone you can see that Riley (and Elayna) really care. You two deserve all of it and I can´t wait to join you on your next adventure!! don´t focus too much on the business side of the videos or the quality but just be yourself. As long as it shows that you are having fun and are true to yourselves, we as viewers will enjoy it just as much! all the best!
Congrats you guys, I did notice a spring in your steps. Concerning audible books, before my pops died, he had glaucoma. He was an avid reader and on of the few things that kept his sanity were audible books. I couldn't say enough about them, and you made the lil info merc entertaining. Tight lines.
I am a 43 yo male Viking fan from Sweden and I cried of happiness for you several times during the video. I am so happy for you and cant wait to see season 2 of Sailing La Vagabonde
Incredible and emotional vid! I use to watch your vlog for almost two years now, and you make me travelled through the entire world since then, with you, and from my place here in the north of France sitting in front of my computer. By coming in my country, your make it more real for me. So inspiring ... Furthermore, you trust a French company to make your new beautiful boat and I can really fell in this vids how thankful you are for the incredible job these guys have made. I can wait to see the details of this boat and of course your next journey. Thank you so much for sharing...
Now THAT was a great vid, the people who build the vessel, the party with the builders in the factory...all great!! The vid Matthew made, touched i am.
I have been following SLV for about a year now, but recently decided to start from the very beginning and this video made me cry. It is so amazing to see Elayna and Riley be able to experience this, they 150% deserve every good thing! Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you (and my little laptop screen)!
Congratulations and fair wind to all who shall sail on Vagabond II. Well done to the team at Outremer for building a beautiful new home for Riley and Elayna. Your adventures and great photography has helped many of us through the dark winters of Scandinavia. I look forward to watching where your hearts will take you next !!
I have never been a huge fan of commenting on CZcams videos but I feel that you guys have a earned a well deserved, congratulations. So with that, again, congratulations. The boat looks spectacular and I can only imagine the over abundance of joy you two feel. Saying goodbye to an old friend (SLV) is without a doubt something that was incredibly difficult considering the trials, tribulations, and learning not too mention memory making you two did on it. However, you have certainly welcomed in a new friend that will help tell a whole new story of your lives together. Keep up the awesome work sharing in these adventures as most of us live vicariously through you and remember to enjoy yourselves and the fruits of your labor. Best of luck and as someone with an Irish heritage I feel it appropriate to pull a line from a famous prayer, "May the wind be always at your back". Happy sailing guys!
Why are you crying? It is illogical. Unless you are crying because you oppose them being pleased. Then it would be logical. However your statement is too vague to address the issue properly.
What I love the most about your channel is that you are chasing your dreams, and reaching heights that you never believed possible. We are all dreamers... but you are also doers. Congratulations on the new boat, and thank you for sharing this dream with the world, it helps so many of us, who for whatever reason may or may not be chasing a dream at the moment. Love you guys. God Speed, may the winds be fair, and the adventure eternal.
Beautiful couple, location and sailboat. Their happiness is sincere and contagious. I've followed "Sailing La Vagabond" over a year, so yes... if it wasn't for a touch of envy, I'd be just as happy over the acquisition of their new home. God bless them.
Don't go overboard! Really. One of the things I (personally) like about your channel was it wasn't a professional job. Be careful not to lose that genuine touch you to have. You don't need a 3rd wheel. I think that's what makes your videos unique. We can see the work and effort in them. Congratulations you too. May you have many happy memories.
***** I'm gonna give them a chance and see how they handle it all. I personally think this patrion or what ever it's called id's shares killing people like them. It's too easy to turn life adventures into for profits.
+Duals Portvet - I feel the same. Next thing you know, they will be just like all the other "big boys" out here. Funny thing is; the main reason I liked them because they were struggling and had to repair things, now they'll just pull into some dock and get a "service". Capitalism I guess 😶
It is wonderful to see such young people setting out on a dream adventure. You kids have no idea how much you will grow and learn by your life's adventure. Earn this.
Don't listen to the people saying the commercials ruin the video. This is your job and there's so shame in making a living. Can't wait to see your next adventure on the new boat!
Just commented on that a couple lines up. I loved the early spontaneity but they've matured and anyway you can't go back again. They're pros now and doing a good job at it.
I'm an old oilfield hand from Texas that has enjoyed some but not enough time in the Caribbean. I'm in love with both of you...this wonderful adventure of yours is a dream I only got to get a taste of. I got seriously pissed off at my partner and after a night of grumbling and drinking and cussing, my girl, who was also my banker, said "well have you ever thought about maybe they're right and you're wrong?" ...I blew up...I said to take me to the fuckin airport! So I wouldn't kill anybody. Went to the Cayman's, met some cool ass cajuns and they invited me to sail with them on their 46 Morgan. I didn't know at first how fortunate I was. I could continue but I think you get it! After a month and Yucatan to Roitan to Jamaica... I had to go back to work in Austin leaving lot of unfinished life that I will never stop dreaming about. So I Love You both and ,sorry Alayna, I'm not gay but not sure who of you I love the the most...so both is honest. Thanks for the journeys and I'm looking forward to many more. New Boat! How cool is that You radiate true love and I feel it, thank you I hope you are both happy and stay that way forever! Michael Hollis Fort Worth, Texas
living in New Mexico over 20 years spend al my childhood in La Grande Motte and Montpellier you guys make me dream of the sea again ...wish you bothe a long nice safe Navigation with joy ...👍😉👌eric

Congratulations both of you on the launch of your brand new baby "La Vagabonde". I wish you fair winds, sunny days and calm seas every moment of your new adventures. May your lives continue to be filled with happiness, adventure and most of all, LOVE. I am very proud of what you guys have achieved.
How exciting! I'm so proud of you guys! I wish I could've come to the event in France but sadly I had no way there from America haha The new catamaran looks incredible!
So excited for you guys! Also Riley, find a copy of John Grishams, "A Painted house." I've read about 18 of his books. This is my all time favorite. ;)
Ah yes, good job landing the new boat. Those tramps and cabin look amazing. Please tell us how you like the stability of the cat vs. old boat. Tight sails to you.
I'm starting from the beginning after watching the last 6 months in real time. I've been waiting to get to this specific video. You two deserve the world and I'm so happy you were able to share this moment with us! Trying not to cry over here. Much love from Wisconsin
All the best you two. I love the chemistry between the two of you and can't wait to see where your new beautiful vessel will take you. You are living my dream and I am grateful that you have invited me along on the ride. Fair winds and following seas!
Awesome! Well done guys and to all the quiet ones 'the wind beneath your wings' supporting you in the background (family, friends etc) ! You deserve this 1000000%! The guys who built it and made the video are great - so passionate & heartfelt. Enjoy, Love, Live, Laugh, Cry and Learn and we'll keep on being here with you to watch what we always wish we could do, but are so pleased you are able/ willing to share with us! :-) With love from Nottingham, UK (x2 salty sailors who have just sold their boat, and know how you feel about saying goodbye to the original La Vagabonde!!) xx Anna & JB xx
Sooo happy for you two. I wish I was there to help celebrate and send you off. You encourage me everyday to shoot for my dreams and bring the community, the world, with your travels. Enjoy your new home at sea, be safe, be happy and always the best to you two. Love, Myrabelle
I love you guys. As an Aussie living in the US for the past year, these videos fill my heart with joy. I've been following your adventures since 2016, and now you are up to your third vessel!! Seeing this video just reminded me one more time how genuine you guys are and your love for what you do. I'm flying from Sacramento to Houston later today and I'm downloading some of your oder videos to watch on the plane. Cheers guys and keep on doing what you do best! Good on ya.
I am so excited for you two. This boat was built to be La Vagabonde, your home and journey. The people at Outreamer seemed so pleased to accomplish this build for you and in some ways probably for their own sense of achievement. Cheers to La Vagabonde and its residents. May you keep a pace that allows balance in work pleasure. Congratulations. Fair winds. Bon Voyage.
The boatbuilders team does a fine job ( it is really a hard and dusty job) and there video shows how many people and more do you need to have fun while sailing. Keep on sailing and I'll like to wish you always enough water under both keel. Calm wind.
Absolutely Brilliant. Inspiring and just a MASSIVE Well Done. You guys have just done so well and documenting it all for a world who's lost hope. Keep Living the Dream and putting it out there for everybody to see.
Folllowed from day one and first comment. Amazing.....Content, interest, sailing, discussion, discovery, education....the list goes on. I'm currently monohull man, but I'll really follow the change to the Outremer. Brilliant PR decision by them. Please show the sailing side of the cat as you learn. All the best and don't forget Gibraltar👍
Oh my goodness! I’m binge watching all your backstory videos, and crying and laughing along with you. Your precious people and I love that you have shared your adventures with all of us ! Thank You
So glad you have now made it on to the new LaVagabonde, she looks great. I was down at Whangarei Marine today, popped over and said Hi to the old La Vagabonde, she is missing you both. Hope all goes well with the new boat. Have fun learning how to sail her. All the best.
I am so very happy for you two. If anyone deserves this, it is you both. You have entertained and inspired so many people, myself included. Without your videos, I may not have had the courage to finally get under way on my own journey on the winds. I look forward to seeing how things progress for you two, and hope to one day cross paths!
Congratulations you two. Don't listen to the negative comments, as I believe this is a beautiful evolution of your lives at sea. She's absolutely beautiful. Safe seas
I don't mind you guys advertising. I want you to be able to fund your adventures. Congrats on being entrepreneurs and doings something you love at the same time. What a beautiful world we live in today.

How exciting guys. The catamaran looks incredible. WOW! We have been following you for a while now and are so stoked for your next adventure. The video they made for you both was so special. We can't imagine all the work that went on. Amazing people. Looking forward to the next video.
You kids are so BLESSED beyond measure!!!!! I happy for you... She sure is a BEAUTIFUL boat. It just needs a wee bit of color... to much white. But I'm sure you'll put a few personal touches on it and it'll be even prettier... Fare winds kiddos... many more blessings coming your way...
Incredible guys. Must be a bit sad to leave Vagabonde 1 behind, but can't wait to see the adventures on your new home. I think the world would be a better place with a little Sailing La Vagabonde in their lives. You guys are absolute legends.
Sharing your journey and happiness makes us happy. Although we only see the positive side on these vids, I could only imagine how exciting all this is.
well done guys, as a guy who watches every week since week 3. i feel like ive grown up alittle with you. Im so pumped to keep on watching and hopefully meet you one of these days. Best of love from Melbourne
I have been with you guys on your adventures since your first handful of vids. A parallel universe. Thank you for making so many people happy. Cheers from New England.
How are we going to get threw all the teardrops in each video... no you me... I so happy in so many ways... Just unbelievable... Dream do come true... (with a few tears of joy). ;-)
Aaah you guys -- I have been following you for 2 years - but somehow missed this episode... I cried and cried when I watched you excitedly looking over the water at your new home. The feeling came flooding back to me of when we went to see our 36' Dean Catamaran on the factory floor. OMGosh - I am soooo happy for you!
Bye a bientôt. Jack
This video made me cry so hard that I never experienced from watching anything else. So envious to the life that you've got. Very far from what I have. You are so blessed. I support your adventures and more blessings to you.
You guys are a dream to watch, we've been following you over 3 years now. Watching is so inspirational, you inspired us for our adventures, just beginning! in Ireland!
Absolute congrats on your good fortune as brought about by the work you have put in. It is a dead sexy boat, never thought a cat could look so good. Keep true to your selves and I will keep watching,
Well done guys! The yacht is awesome. "May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face. And may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars." Bon Voyage!
Thanks for sharing this crazy story, you can even make advertising enjoyable, I'll check out those book, by the way the editing is fantastic..and your boat is awesome. Sail safe and far, and may the winds always be at your backs. PS Only salty Sailors can drink from a jar, hey
This is such a beautiful episode, not the scenery but the emotions on display. I have watched this episode 3 times since I discovered this channel ( which was shortly after they gave a ride to Greta) because it is such a landmark moment. Nuff said.
Outreamer seams like a pretty legit boat builder. Pretty good marketing choice. Break a leg kids. Oh yeah by the way didn't even mind the commercial, Riley loves to read it flowed well.
Congratulations! That is a great looking catamaran you guys get to use for a year. It should be quite different than sailing your Beneteau Oceanis 45. I will be looking forward to hearing comparisons between the catamaran and the monohull. It is very generous of Outremer to lend you the boat but is also gives them tremendous exposure to people interested in sailing. Good luck on your new adventure.
The boat wasn't lent, nor is there a year restriction. They have have a loan on the boat for a considerable saving. They both made this deal a possibility.
Heinrich Dudelstrom your paraphrasing, she said "I hope we can return one day with the boat in the same condition" they are circumnavigating the world. This is a very appropriate statement. Move on and stop bashing honest people.
You got me confused, but originally they were going to get the boat for a year and then something changed and it sounded like they were buying the boat, so with all due respect to Mr Dudelstrom, his URL is stale news. I'm sure they got a pretty good deal on it in exchange for episodes like this that are advertisements for Outremer (and as smoothly as this one was done I have no problem with it, besides, they're grown-ups now) The comment about bringing it back in a year though was interesting, I can't believe building a boat for lease is very profitable with a lot of excess capacity out there. (and boats don't strike me as something that would hold their value too well)
I just stumbled upon your channel and have binged several episodes so far. I love the music that you use on your channel. You two are talented... keep doing what you are doing and letting people escape their mundane lives by living vicariously through your adventures.
I'm pretty sure that as a 53 yr old guy, from St. Peters, Missouri, sitting in my dumb little cube at work, I shouldn't have a tear in my eye. But here I am. Can't wait for the grand tour and ultimately more sailing adventures! Good on you two!
Break out, man! And live the dream
Now you are 55 years old
Has anything changed?
Still doing the cubicle?
Cape Girardeau here btw
I think any man at 53 watching this... has dreams inside.. its never to late to BE, to create.. to breathe LIFE into the forgotten.
Amanda O'Boyle yes. I sure hope he took the inspiration and did something he feels passionate about. Not all of us will sail around the world, but all of us can pursue something more
Barr yeah
I found this channel in June of 2019. It’s so cool to see this video of when they got this boat seeing how far they’ve gone now. Love this channel.
I’m in love with their channel too. Doesn’t it make you want that freedom. Such a beautiful life. Huge inspiration.
It's Amazing to be a part of this adventure. The boat is beautiful and so is your story. Fair winds...
Congrats! Well deserved!

Actually pulled the car over and parked and watched ...
Dropped out of a meeting early - no regrets.
Should be in bed, 01.15 am in Sweden, but i couldn't resist.
I saw my reflection in my phone watching this and had a smile on my face the whole time! This is so amazing and exciting for you both. I love the video by everyone who made the boat. So touching. Cheers to your new adventures 😊❤
Thumbs up for Outremer! They are obviously great people!
I wanted to give Matthieu a hug myself!!!
Yes, great job Outremer. Clearly a forward thinking company who understands social media. I have been a long time Lagoon fan. Now I will consider Outremer when the time comes.
Definitely agree! Super fun to have followed this story. So happy for the boat to get them! : ) -J

I love how you incorporated the audible ad. Creative, genuine, and doesn't put me off like most forced ads. Very nice.
You should watch JakeTheGardenSnake's in video ads, they are really funny.
CockatooDude Jakes motovlogging key rings link in the fucking description
These keys are lame, time to fix em up, BAM!
I mean, it is a little unnecessary in what is already a Outremer promo but I didn't mind.
Go play in the traffic.

CockatooDude you sound ridiculous . You know damn well what she means.
As mind reading technology to that degree does not exist, there is no way for you to know what I know. This fact invalidates your statement.
I CRIED through the Audible ad.

These two just flat out STOKE me... I wish them all the best best in the world... never has has saying been so tangible.. "Your laughing mates"....
I'm an old oilfield hand from Texas that has enjoyed some but not enough time in the Caribbean.
I'm in love with both of you...this wonderful adventure of yours is a dream I only got to get a taste of.

...I blew up...I said to take me to the fuckin airport!
New Boat! How cool is that
You radiate true love and I feel it, thank you
I hope you are both happy and stay that way forever!

How exciting! I'm so proud of you guys! I wish I could've come to the event in France but sadly I had no way there from America haha The new catamaran looks incredible!
The event was amazing! There were plenty of cameras so they should have some good footage for a great video
So excited for you guys!
Also Riley, find a copy of John Grishams, "A Painted house." I've read about 18 of his books. This is my all time favorite. ;)
Noel Carolyn --just curious, proud of what? Getting a free yacht? Please be PROUD of me too!!!
Ah yes, good job landing the new boat. Those tramps and cabin look amazing. Please tell us how you like the stability of the cat vs. old boat. Tight sails to you.
Once again, the yacht is NOT FREE. Any excuse to insult people eh?
I'm starting from the beginning after watching the last 6 months in real time. I've been waiting to get to this specific video. You two deserve the world and I'm so happy you were able to share this moment with us! Trying not to cry over here. Much love from Wisconsin
Thanks for the french translation.
I wich you all the best for this new life.
Cheers, Patrick from Brittany (France)

Many CZcamsrs plug "Audible", but you are the first one to get me to check it out. Cheers mate!
Good on ya.
LOVE the new yacht!!! Congrads you two!!! :)
Fair winds. Bon Voyage.
Had to bawl my eyes out when Riley’s friends turned up as a surprise!
Brava! Bravo! So happy for you all. So inspired! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
For all that you share. Sending you SO MUCH LOVE.

Thank you for another great video. And thank you for delivering it in 60fps.
I am so very happy for you two. If anyone deserves this, it is you both. You have entertained and inspired so many people, myself included. Without your videos, I may not have had the courage to finally get under way on my own journey on the winds. I look forward to seeing how things progress for you two, and hope to one day cross paths!
i love how his best mates also have the mustache lol

You kids are so BLESSED beyond measure!!!!! I happy for you...
She sure is a BEAUTIFUL boat. It just needs a wee bit of color... to much white. But I'm sure you'll put a few personal touches on it and it'll be even prettier... Fare winds kiddos... many more blessings coming your way...
Wow! She is sweet! Love the drone footage too! Great add to the vids!
Incredible guys. Must be a bit sad to leave Vagabonde 1 behind, but can't wait to see the adventures on your new home. I think the world would be a better place with a little Sailing La Vagabonde in their lives. You guys are absolute legends.
Bravo Outremer! If I ever buy a catamaran, it will be yours!
Sharing your journey and happiness makes us happy. Although we only see the positive side on these vids, I could only imagine how exciting all this is.

This video made me cry so hard that I never experienced from watching anything else. So envious to the life that you've got. Very far from what I have. You are so blessed. I support your adventures and more blessings to you.
6:34 I cried, because I know the feeling they going through
You guys are a dream to watch, we've been following you over 3 years now.
Nuff said.
Hey Elayna and Riley, FINDING SIMON (and dog) wants in!
golforfishing Simon would be a fantastic addition
Simon would be perfect for you two. Great videographer. Champ is the best dog.
Congratulations! You guys are an inspiration!
Outreamer seams like a pretty legit boat builder. Pretty good marketing choice. Break a leg kids. Oh yeah by the way didn't even mind the commercial, Riley loves to read it flowed well.
Sorry outremer, damn spellcheck
How am I this excited? I'll never see you or your boat in real life and yet I'm shaking with excitement.
I wish I could give this a million likes
How lucky you are. Congrats to that masterpiece. Well done Outremer.
It was a Cyclades 43, not an Oceanis 45.
The boat wasn't lent, nor is there a year restriction. They have have a loan on the boat for a considerable saving. They both made this deal a possibility.
SailingPittsburgh no, they have bought the boat at a reduced price as they have stated.
