I used to drive this road daily back in the eighties between Pt Hardy and the CFB Holberg. The smoke you saw was actually "water cooled brakes" because of the massive loads they carry would burn the brake pads in no time. Good to see that they are still running. Thanks for the vid taking me back to memory lane!!

Brakes are not smoking, that is from the water the driver is putting on the brakes that creates steam.

I would like to see your Subaru after you took the ditch, Scott. I don't think you would be driving out of that. I work with this sort of stuff daily.
