Cherry Springs Star Party 2023

- In June 2023 I attended the Cherry Spring Star Party with around 500 other Astro photographers. I was there from June ed to the hobby and to keeping our night skies dark. This was my 6th trip to Cherry Springs but it was my first Star Party. I believe I captured almost everyone’s setup at some point in this video.

I began Astrophotography late in 2021. I am now just starting to get the hang of it, especially on the processing side of things. Here is a list of my current equipment.

If I could go any place in the world for a vacation I would go to Cherry Springs State Park. I am an backyard Astronomer.
I’ve been there 15 times and I am still in awe. I wish I could bring everyone I know up there to see what the night sky really looks like!
@@GetawayGreg I have been to several hundred star parties, but none with the sky like that. WOW !!!! I live over 1200 miles from CSSP.

@@GetawayGreg I don't think we shook hands but I do remember seeing you around. Maybe next year I'll be able to eat a Philly cheese stack fries this time. I was unable to eat anything the entire time I was there this last summer. Real bummer because the food looked good.
I definitely go to Cherry Springs every month so if you plan to visit again, just let me know. You lucky to have a Bortle 4 where you live. I live in Rochester, NY so the 2.5 hour drive is worth it.

I am booked for September event - do they always have a food vendor?
I know the Cherry springs Star party in June does, but I’m not sure about the Black Forest Star party.
