I use the watercolors inside this box to show how I make my watercolor floral junk journal pages. I take NONE of the credit for this idea -- my friend Angela @TheTravelingCrafter is who made the first tutorial on messy art book page florals. I took her idea and tried my own hand at it (she's a much more talented artist than I am). My flowers are a bit more, ahem, "abstract." :) Let's just say that drawing does NOT come naturally to me like it does for her ! Thanks for the inspiration and tutorial, Angela!
You could paint ANY kind of flower this way -- daisies, bluebells, wildflowers like tansy, and more! Have fun!

I love your watercolor flowers. How can you love on the 70s and not like brown or lime green? When I was in high school in the 70s I was always so happy to see a splash of lime green amongst all of the burnt orange, harvest gold, and avocado green throughout the house - except my bedroom where I held fast to the 60s bright purples, pinks, and greens! Maureen McCormick has done a line of fabrics for Moda that reflect the feeling of the generation I grew up in as we crossed from the 60s into the 70s. I want them all because, once you're groovy, it's with you forever!
That amused me too.
I think I don’t like lime because the 80s was full of fluorescent green which was similar to me. And the brown….as a redhead I was always told that earthy colors looked better with my skin tone and my hair….so I wore earthy colors and lots of brown for years….until one day in my early 30s I said ‘you know what? I don’t like brown. I’m not gonna wear it anymore!’ So I don’t 😂 I do love them as accent colors, but not alone. I agree…they are essential to completing the 70s color palate! I just resonate with the 60s colors a bit better 😆 Thanks for watching!
