I loved this. That 5th home I believe with the curved dining room wall and windows at the rear of the house was so cool. 👍👍👍 I live in a large old college town a couple of hours south of Chicago and there are so many homes like this here. A great vid. TY :)
I believe the home to which you refer was known as Art Moderne at the time. Probably still is! 😊

A number of those houses existed in the neighborhood I grew up in San Antpnio in the 1950s. I was always fascinated by them. I always thought it strange that there was a bedroom right off the living room.
My house was built in the 1930s I paid 91k for it last year it is a 4 bedroom house to bathrooms a down stairs room that I turned into a man cave I have a pool table and a mini bar down there I am not old enough to drink I am 12 years old my family all passed away my mom was the last to pass away and she left me a huge inheritance so I moved to ND with a family friend who has always been in my family's life and he took me in and we got the house and the house is beautiful it has three garages and it is two stories I love to play the bass guitar so I am going to turn one of the rooms into a music room and ya we also have solar now and we make extra money off of the solar by selling some of it back to the electric company I am liveing like a king but I still miss my mom I rather have her back then have this house or the money not that I am not thankful it's just if I had to pick I would pick my mom I loved her so much I still get sad everyday because I miss her so much but I know I will see her again I have faith in my Jesus Christ and I know I will see her again but I am still sad because I will never see her here on earth again.
Very good video. Good for the floor plans, even though they are not my favorites. They were Depression era, and catalogs then weren't always as detailed and colorful as those before, or afterwards. Their kitchens looked so plain, without any hint of cabinets, sinks, or appliances most of the time. Not that I can't plan my own, of course, but the plans showing at least how they could look, usually gave me a starting point for how I could make them better! 😊
