It’s refreshing to see a video of what it’s really like. Your waves were good. We get enough of the perfect wave videos all the times. Looks like you guys earned those waves. It’s also good to see a video of what a spots really like vs just the glamorous side. You travel and spend thousands to go to these places and it’s not all it’s cracked up to be sometimes.
Absolutely despise the mentality of snakes burning the rightful man/person who put the work paddling himself or herself into the wave first! Keep your chin up, there’ll be more waves, a better brake and more respectful surfers to share them with. Sweet!
Progression of thoughts since I watched my first Zeke video six months ago up to today's: This guy is awesome! This guy is nuts! This guys is damn good skater. Brazzo's are a plague on Indo. I've met some good ones who travel alone but the one's that travel in groups are disgusting. Bad drop ins all day.
I got some really good friends from Brazil, I love um, but some of the ones at Deserts were assholes

15:17 I went out to Desert Point twice, 89’ and 91’, this guy was camped out there both times.
Went twice in ‘92 and ‘94. Both times it was as flat as a pancake.
@@marcelboogaard3809 Pretty much same here. I only spent 3 and 4 days respectively and got it pretty good one evening at super low tide. This was also pre-Surfline, so you did not know in advance. Also, pre-road to in front of the break. Had to pack your own food and bring your own sleeping gear. And had to hike in from around the point at the end of the wave. But at least it was uncrowded LOL. In '92 where did you sleep and do about food?

Hi Zeke...obviously, from what you said, you had some issues in the lineup out there...nonetheless, when the videos of all your waves was presented here, it looks as if you did get quite a few decent waves...as to giving way to the locals--that's to be expected anywhere in the world 🌎....the main spots in Indonesia apparently now have a lot of decent local surfers, who grew up surfing those breaks, & they're not inclined to give way to foreign visitors...as to the Brazilians, I live in South Mission Beach, & I'm married to a beautiful woman from Rio de Janeiro...I've also trained Brazilian Jujitsu & other mixed martial arts for many years...still, when you're an outsider, it's best not to get into a fight...I used to live on the Big Island of Hawai'i for many years, & I lived in Hilo...many times, I was the only haole in the water...&, most times the locals were totally cool...however, there were a number of unpleasant confrontations over the years...sometimes, as you say, it's just best to hop back on the speedboat & split

I’m sorry but isn’t Desert point one of the most dangerous waves in the world? How the hell are these people so blatantly dropping in on homie. I’m 46 years old from San Diego and I get snaked all the time even though I am probably a better surfer than most and have had enough waves in my life where it don’t bother me but I am not surfing waves like this, heavy shallow reef in the middle of bfe indo. Maybe because homie burned literally burned his buddies foot for an extremely long time or I don’t know but that was insane snake o rama. Watching this video really bummed me out. There is nothing worse then traveling half way around the world to get burned by total donkeys on a good wave and watch them blow the barrel section you should have had.
