So true. This is the one thing that has been missing from otherwise great disc golf coverage we have seen during the last years.
So stoked the season has started! I think I re-watched every tournament from CCDG & Jomez since 2016 while jonesing for new disc golf this winter.

Yup. CCDG released some great footage of a few lower-level tourneys over the winter and I enjoyed watching those. But I am stoked for the season starting up!

I came for the disc golf. I subbed for the amazing quality!! Who remembers the 2015 days of no commentary and no catch cam ??

Played this course a ton in the early to mid 2000s. Best disc golf education you could ever ask for. Lot of great players there who really helped me with advice.. got my first ace. Hooked for life. Pretty sure those are the exact same baskets 😂 Ty to all involved for the coverage and commentary. It means a lot for us old guys to be able to watch the evolution of the sport on such a historic course to kick off the season.

This might be the some of the best coverage to date. Ian and Eagle knew almost every disc being thrown which we really need more of and the players reaction shots were so cool to see!! Central Coast bringing it!!!

I hope to hear more commentary from Eagle in the future. I felt like he shared a lot with us today about what people are doing and thinking out there and I also appreciated the bits about his thought process and how discs fly in different situations. Nice!

Re Eagle's comment about high speed drivers in rain @ 1:22.
High speed drivers turning over in the rain makes perfect sense, not because they slow down sooner but because the waterdrops hitting the top of the disc turns it over a bit (gyroscope physics, downward force in front gets offset slightly in the direction of the spin)... they do also slow down sooner because of this but as they slow down the fade will start to kick in. (which is just like Eagle said it: "just like going to low elevation from high elevation")
I wonder if the pressuredrop over the top of the disc is ever enough to vaporize water in ambient temperature, if so you could essentially have steam running down the back of the flightplate instead of air... would probably shake up the stability somewhat as well, however if this reaction were to take place there would probably also be frost on top of the disc since the phaseshift of some water from liquid to gas would suck up a lot of heat.
(As I recall whenever me and my friend tested out his model glider during cool humid evenings the top of the wing would frost up.)

Paul a little out of luck in the front 9 but man those throws in the back 9 with the Luna and Buzz were pure. It's gonna be a crazy good year when they all start dialing it in!

Eagle's commentary... I'm a little surprised frankly at how much I enjoyed Eagle. Just my opinion, but, I thought Eagle brought a new level of maturity to DG commentary! Great job!
