@@ryancox5097 sure am. I dont see why being lighthearted and fun makes a difference? If you don't think that drinking a coke and/or looking at your watch etc while playing isn't cocky and ridiculous then don't even worry. Lap up his entertainment.

Dennis looks so much younger and healthy! ❤️🌹Gratitude!❤️Out of all of his favorite recordings I can't believe Dennis didn't mention Pick Hits by John Scofield (or any of Scofield's records with Dennis on it) Pick Hits is a 2 CD set of live recordings back in the day when he played with John Scofield. If you haven't heard that you're in for a treat... Peace and love to all of you!🌹🌞

He's looking healthy. Had me worried for a sec. Humble dude, direspectfully good drummer. One of my all time faves especially with Scofield.

He is one talented drummer, who seems to be real down to earth. Speed, power, technique, and plays a soulful groove like nobody else. Wonderful sounding kit, too. Like the few truly great drummers, he understands music and how to make the most of his personal contribution to it.

Such a cool and humble guy. I love listening to musicians talk about life and experiences and not just their fame and what they went through to get there. Dennis is one guy I’d like to sit down and have a cup coffee and just listen to talk about life in and out of music.
We were fortunate to have a few minutes with one of the modern day masters!

DENNIS, Chicago loves you!! We have a core of drummers, young and old that have been shaped by your artistry and musicianship!! Anytime you want to come let me know and I'll set it up for you. I want to get you, Calvin Rodgers, Eric Moore, Josiah Maddox, Rexsell Hardy Jr, Brent Easton, and a few others on a stage together. That would be epic!!
If you want to see the future (and present) of drumming, look no further than Yoyoka, a 13 year old girl drummer. First, she is also endorsed by Pearl, as the youngest person they ever endorsed. I think she was 8-9.
Second, she's a real drummer/musician/artist. So, no tricks (not even twirling drumsticks), no short videos, no video editing (only one take videos)... Only pure enjoyment in drumming and music.
And plenty of live videos (with even more different musicians), improvisations, live practices...
What other popular YT/social media drummers do that? No one.
And she plays, and excels, everything - rock (any kind), pop, funk, blues, jazz...
Just 3-4 months after she moved to the US when she was first seriously introduced to jazz she recorded (in one day) her first jazz album. Recently she recorded her second jazz album, also in one day.
And she plays live every week. More than a thousand live shows, since she was 4. From a crowd of a few dozen, up to 70 000. She played at Whisky a Go Go 3-4 times (first time when she was 9).
And she is the only YT drummer that is on the Drummerworld list of top 500 drummers of all time, as the youngest person ever (she was 10). Dennis Chambers is also on that list, so that is another thing they have in common (alongside with Pearl).

People ARE warm in Chicago--until their blood finishes draining out. Only happens 40 or 50 times every weekend.
El Estepario is certainly a more solid all round player, but for me the ONLY guy taking things forward, at the pinnacle of art, is JD Beck.
Dennis always have a metronome on his mouth: his gum.
That drummer he referred to, is freakish..
Thanks mr Chambers,in my opinioin Estepario only is a showman of the reels and I don't like its sound,it seems very processed,I prefer Brandon Toews.
Great to see Dennis looking healthy and strong. He is among my best drummers list. Thought I saw an Earth Ride brilliant on this kit, he used to play em, anybody?
He did play a brilliant earth ride for a while- in this video he has a K Custom Medium Ride
