- Bruce Landon Davidson (born September 5, 1933) is an American photographer. He has been a member of the Magnum Photos agency since 1958. His photographs, notably those taken in Harlem, New York City, have been widely exhibited and published. He is known for photographing communities usually hostile to outsiders.

His dedication to his subject matter was outstanding. He embedded himself into the source of his inspiration. The circus, the subway. The hours and days spent waiting for that decisive moment, be it in colour or black and white. It was all about the subject matter. Humanity in all its glory.
It took a lot of courage to take those photos.
This man has guts. Photographing people in the subway at daytime is bad enough, but doing this at night is astonishingly brave ! They're also great photos both in colour and b&w.
A powerful collection of work from one of my favorite photographers, well presented. Thank you for taking the time to create this video, and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your posts as well.

The images went from the most depressing circus I've ever seen to a graffitti covered shit hole that was the NY subway in the 80's. I'm glad the last batch of pictures were a little more uplifting
