Southland Transportation Company Orientation PT. 2

Quick overview of the second day of orientation. This ain’t no sugar coating company. They get to know you personally as in individual and royally treat you like family. Any door is always open to pop in and talk if you have any concerns. They only hire the absolute professional driver, but everyone gets a chance at first.

I will admit to meeting some very nice people there. But I ended up getting the dirtiest truck on the lot, Stunk like a nasty ash tray. All those pretty rigs and mine would not pass the annual inspection, which was due in 2 weeks. Right out the gate the confusion with dispatch was very frustrating. You know,,, the left hand has no communication with the right hand kind of thing. I ended up having nothing but problems running the 14 hour clock out. And getting a massive 800 mile week.? Yes week. I wish things had been different, Im not calling out names, but the confusion was just to much.
