To me Kiriko did this to herself because she only cares about money and being rich this is her punishment.
Whats funny, he is pretty well off it seems, and she still threw that away for a slightly larger %. Its like a person who makes 100 million a year being dumped for a person that makes 1 billion a year. Those levels of money, while a 10x increase, is still more than you should be able to spend.

Once Riku and Kiriko left the restaurant after recognized Yuko and Kiriko finds out that Riku was already engaged, this is what they suppose to say:

Yuko: I'm going on a date with him. Does Yuri knows about this.
Riku: noooo, she doesn't have to know about this(while looking pale)
Kiriko: hey Riku, what's this about, what's going on here?
Yuko: I'll tell u what's going on, this man is already engaged with my sister.
Kiriko: what, engaged?

Well, where are they now well let's start with Riku, after his engagement were called off and resigned from his company, he became homeless after his parents disowned him after they found out about his affair and Kiriko, after got rejected by Kaito after knowing that he moved on with Yuko, she dated a self proclaim wealthy man until she realized that she's been swindled and her parents won't help her cuz they too cut ties with her after they found out about her affair too and she's been forced to work at the host club to pay off her debt.
