The Mr M 3x3 cuts decently if you loosen it a bunch. And the best Shengshou puzzle is the Fangyuan V2M :-)

I'd recommend getting the spherical puzzle in full size. I think it's called a Spanish Sphere or Russian Sphere. I have one and it's a fun yet easy solve (all intuitive)
The full sized one is about the size of a baseball
