And have been listening to his messages solidly since then. A voice in my head recalled his name from over a decade earlier when Ps TD JAKES mentioned his passing back in one of his sermons. Anyway, that was the one and only time o heard his name mentioned. And over a decade on his name, just out of the blue popped in my head. So I said yes Lord o will listen to his sermons. I understand that the baby Christian I was back in 2013 wouldn’t have been able to comprehend or appreciate Dr Miles message. But 10 years on, now is the season. Im so grateful for Dr Miles incredible teaching and so grateful for the mysterious yet wonderful ways in which our Father and His Kingdom work. Dr Miles has been such a powerful force in my life. Like he said. Men die, but ideas live on. Rest in peace dear Dr Miles

That was my dad too!! I miss him very much!! I am a stay-at-home mom who homeschools my daughter and caregiver to my 80 yo mom with Dementia. My husband pays all the bills and makes sure we have nice things. However, he is quick to let me know I don't work when I speak to him about something he's doing that God wouldn't approve of. As a man, I'm not supposed to brag about performing my traditional gender role. I understand and concur. Christ didn't boast either during His three year earthly ministry as He went about performing miracles. However, to me, this sets the table for the man of the house and his vital contributions to go both ignored and unappreciated by his wife and children. The Bible refers to Christ as the "Chief Cornerstone." He is the foundation upon which the church rests. The church as His bride, we come to acknowledge, worship, and sing His praises at least once a week as a show of gratitude for His sacrifice. Therefore, wives and children should be encouraged to show gratitude and appreciation for the man who is head of household, but not necessarily in any formal or regimented fashion. I totally agree with this. I would like to add that in times of ungratefulness in the woman, or person it is necessary to bring up those things. When you do all you can to show her, or him that you love them and you still feel as if all you do is never enough. It's not bragging, it's reminding them of the things they are taking for granted. Biblically, God also reminds us of the things that he does for us that express his love for us.
I agree with you 100% on that. My first wife was exactly as you described, an ingrate. But she grew into something much worse and eventually left both me and God -- not because she had to, but because she wanted to.
When you do your duty it does not matter what anyone says or does, you have done so because you should. This attitude and approach to a relationship is a MUST regardless of what a woman says. The man is the head God said so, so, if the man has to put the house on top of his shoulders, the house is placed on top of his head. Holding that house up requires STRENGTH, but he has to also use the wisdom Jesus gives him as well as understanding to carry that house.

I totally agree with this. I would like to add that in times of ungratefulness in the woman, or person it is necessary to bring up those things. When you do all you can to show her, or him that you love them and you still feel as if all you do is never enough. It's not bragging, it's reminding them of the things they are taking for granted. Biblically, God also reminds us of the things that he does for us that express his love for us.
