    I live in the midwest in the suburbs. Most difficult "terrain" in my town is speedbumps. I don't camp; I have no skills and I'm allergic to moss. I drive a Kia. The last tent I pitched I was four and it was in my parents' living room and it was made from my dad's grill cover, sheets off the bed in the guest bedroom and my little sister's security blanket. I'm terrified of owls. I work in a sterile environment sorting surplus zoo medications. I sleep in hospital linens. I bathe with surgical soap. I boil my socks.
    AND I STILL WANT ONE!

      It sounds like you have what's called a "hillbilly bone"... From Siberia to all other parts of the world, this condition provokes a broad grin, a healthy appetite for fire and meat, and promotes bragging, LOL! Given the chance, not too many people would turn down a chance to drive a Sherp in the filthiest backwoods mudhole around. Boiled socks be danged!

    So easy to figure out why the sherp was the superior vehicle at that rally, it was purpose designed for forging through mud that would literally swallow modern fwd trucks and vehicles.have a friend in Russia that has one and is always sending me videos of trips out into the Russian tundra. The sherp will go places where even the famous Russian DT-30 can't go due to the mud. Amazing little mini trucks.

      CJ5 with CTIS axles and you have more mobility then this, and drive it on the street.
      It is a great idea, but it costs around the same as a New Corvette Stingray..

    • @budnixon
      @budnixon Před 6 lety +10

      biggest advantage would be only that its "street drive-able", keep in mind that SHERP was never built to be driven on the street, so not exactly comparing apples to apples... and CJ5 could never do all of the things even with portal CTIS axles that SHERP does...

    See, when dealing with hard core mudding like this, skill is far more important than whatever vehicle you have. For instance, I take my bone-stock rear wheel drive, 1974 Malibu Classic, with bald, skinny tires through mud holes twice this deep! But that's only possible due to my crazy-skills! Lol

  • @cornspace
    @cornspace Před 7 lety +21

    If that gets stuck you would need all the quads there to try and pull it out.

    • @painkiller1233
      @painkiller1233 Před 7 lety +1

      cornspace generally not. They’re pretty light because their body is made from aluminum rather than steel

      They literally can't get stuck. They float, and if the tires have any traction whatsoever it will come out
