Old School Revving Action | Peterbilt 320 McNeilus Autoreach

During the few weeks that Truck 31 was in the shop (again) for a banged-up packing blade, my driver was able to use one of the most desired spare trucks in the yard, Truck 8. It's quite desired by regular and pool drivers alike, due to its speed, a higher set RPM cut-off, and the extra "oomph" the arm gives to the cart at the top of the hopper, allowing stuffed contents to fall out easily. It was also rebuilt, had its cab repainted, and seems to have had its PTO replaced after a rollover incident a couple years ago.
Since my driver is an old-school driver (as in started in 1980), he's been through quite a number of trucks that back in the day basically required revving to maintain a certain level of productivity, such as 310 Amreps and Rapid Rails in the early 90s. Because of that, he seems to be one of the few drivers in the yard that will rev the truck at almost every opportunity he gets. Truck 8 is no exception, and he'll gladly slingshot the arm in and out of the hopper, quite violently at times too.

In Fremont yes he has, but in San Jose. It’s always Labrie (if you’re in garden city Sanitation’s area). Or a zr or Labrie if you’re in Green Team Of San Jose’s area
