- Have you ever been curious about the voices behind the Belchers and their whacky crew of friends and restaurant customers? The cast of Bob’s Burgers is full of famous actors, writers, and comedians who were able to lend their natural talents to these characters and bring them all to life. Did you know that the character and voice of Linda Belcher was actually inspired by John Roberts actual mother? She’s from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn and he’s basically been impersonating her his entire life. He used to make CZcams videos where he would play his character of her, and the creator of the show, Loren Bouchard happened upon them and thought John would be a great addition to the Bob’s Burgers cast! We also get into H. Jon Benjamin’s natural way of voicing these infamous characters like Bob and Archer! He’s starred in so many animated TV shows that these characters have really become second nature to him. One unique thing about Bob’s Burgers is that Loren Bouchard really encourages improv! The reason why they’re able to do this is because they actually do record the show all together in the booth. They end up landing on some brilliant comedy that way! There are also a ton of celebrity cameos in Bob’s Burgers - it would actually take all day to get into every single one. A few names we mention are Sarah Silverman - famous actor, writer, and comedian, and Jordan Peele - famous actor, writer, and filmmaker. Indeed. The "Kurt" they are thinking of that Bobby Tisdale DID voice is from the episode where Bob and Linda chaperone Tina's school dance. Kurt was the kid who took Bob's date to the dance.
The best show ever!!! I love every joke they say and the funny things they say… lol 😂 I watch it everyday… makes me so happy!!
As a fan of the show since childhood, I absolutely adored this movie. I loved the 3D computer animated background combined with the 2D animated characters, I’ve been waiting a long time to see my 2nd favourite animated family on the big screen and this movie honestly delivered.
The premise was amazing, feeling more like an extended episode rather than a movie as a bonus you get to see all of the “OG cast” at least once in the movie,
Kevin Kline and Zach gala.... Are amazing on that show.
Linda (John Roberts) actually sounds like a womans voice! Before i actually took a glance at the names at the end of the episodes, i had a hard time figuring out if it was a man or an actual woman voicing Linda. He is genius with Lindas voice!

This just shows that you pick the right person for the role. It doesn't matter what color or gender they are. Everybody on the show is amazing.
Kurt was not in Two for Tina, he was in Seaplane and then subsequently in Live and Let Fly.
And was voiced my Will Forte in both. Not sure where they got this from.

I love Kristen schaal and Eugene Miriam. Kristen Schaal is hilarious as Louise Belcher and Eugene Miriam as Gene. They are really good
Linda is my favorite voice on the show, shea amazing! She reminds me of my aunt Dot.. you never know what she will say, but my favorite person is definitely Tina! I love everything about her!!

Not sure about my favorite main character but my favorite occasional character is definitely Jen the baby sitter. I love the episode where she takes the kids out in Hot Cousin Dave’s ice cream truck!
I love Mr. Frond only because in one of the episodes Mr. Frond had the kids write essays, and he thought they were too offensive.
Of course, Louise wrote one like Terminator (The episode is called The Frond Files) and they had a robot Mr. Frond, he found the roller-skating guy and took his rollerskates and the pink whatever style of bathing suit he wears. It's so funny, I could not stop laughing throughout that entire episode.
Gretchen is also so hysterical. Haha When she tries to give mouth-to-mouth to the guinea pig 🤣 HaHAH
Also, Jenny Slate was on SNL for a very brief time, and she was fired because she accidentally dropped the F-bomb in a skit. :(

Omg been watching this show forever an never looked up the cast. Cant believe its took me this long. But i was watching the mall episode "Legends of the Mall" and at the end, out of all these episodes ive watched, finally realized that Linda and Jocelyn sounded the same.
The thing about Laura is that she has worked with Bouchard and Smalls for literal decades. Ever since the Dr Katz days, so shes a regular when either one of them are involved in a project just like Benjamin.

What I love about cartoons is the versatility. In Bob's, there are adults voicing kids. In Hey Arnold! there were kids voicing kids. Bob's has a lot of dudes being female characters, and a lot of cartoons have females voicing male characters, including Bob's.
Jordan Peele does the voice of a white character, and David Herman does a black woman. All of this is fine. The Simpsons had three white dudes doing all the male voices, including the lack folks. The Boondocks had two white thugs being voiced by Charlie Murphy and Samuel Jackson. Brilliant stuff.
As fans of this show, can anyone other than Roberts be Linda? There is no way we can replace Tina with anyone who is not Mintz. Edith Cranwinkle and Gretchen are done by Teddy, Mrs. Labonz is now done by Bob, who also does Jimmy Jr. and last of all, let's not forget about Jocelyn. That is also John Roberts, oh my gawwd!

Wow you showed the wrong character when citing them sooo many times. Like so many other like this, it’s just a voice job reading the narration, not a fan. Probably not someone who’s ever even seen any of the material. I think the CZcams content motto is the less you’re familiar the better.

This video is a fail. Do you even watch the show? The people who made it barely did any research. How did they leave out Oscar winner Kevin Kline? As well as Megan Mullally, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Hader, Molly Shannon and Tim Meadows? Tiffany Haddish has also guest starred. Also, it was Will Forte who voiced Kurt, and Mr Grant. And how did they leave out Jenny Slate being on SNL? They also missed other characters H Jon Benjamin and John Roberts voice in the show. Real waste of time.

Because Tina was ‘Dan’ in the original pilot. They decided to change the character to a girl once the show was picked up but love his voice so much that…they kept it.
I'm so used at Tina's voice to the point that I can't imagine someone else doing the role except maybe the voice actress of Daria
