In my opinion one of the best parts of this song is the amazing contrast between the dark screeching and the uplifting violin.
I have always loved Alestorm's guitar tone. I think their overall productions are pretty sick
their organic drum tone is also pleasing to listen to!

Many later Alestorm songs reference previous songs, the eponymous Terror Squid comes from the previous album (specifically the song Leviathan), as does the reference to slaying ninjas. The mention of defeating Vikings is from the first song of this album, in which they document their travel through time to defeat vikings and steal their gold.
