The most reggae brilliant ever...❤
Steel Pulse never lets me down from a teenager to a man untold respect.
What they contributed to the cause from the early 70s was immense, Steel Pulse always runs through my veins, Manchester Revolution.👍🏾😀🙏🏾
Don't forget HarIem Spirit
😢❤
why are there not more likes? absolutely one of the best bands of thaf era.
Just brilliant. The best band ever to come out of Brum? Yeah, why not?
Always get the best from Steel Pulse. No doubt about that.
👍
Absolutely.
British reggae at its best.
Was blessed by discovering this group ! Jah Rastafari !
Damn! They were so good!!
They're still good. 🙂👍
I hated this album the first four times I listened to it and then something happened and I couldn’t get this song out of my head for months. Great album and group.
I saw steel pulse in Poughkeepsie ny in a tiny dive bar there was maybe 20 people there and maybe 5 who knew what they were seeing it was awesome we meet David dread and the rest of the band after the show Jah bless the memories
Cool!
Solid solid solid. This song has always been my favorite of theirs...it's only now on a random trek through Tubeland that I realized there was a live version available to view online. 1979 even, dang. I didn't get into these guys until 1987-88 but they've changed me since. I saw them a couple of times in L.A. around that time but they didn't play BMTR.
The crazy thing with these guys is how #$(*@#$ solid they are. "Tight like a virgin" as BB Seaton would say. Even though the live version is not as polished and refined as the recorded version (the vocal harmonies are much looser, improvised, etc.), the foundation laid by Grizzly and Stepper is absolutely rock solid and heavy as heck. Not only that, everyone else is just naturally in the groove...they make it look so easy.
Re-up? Cherish this '79 wonder! Beauty! Roars it's base in basic, melodies its music in melodic. This truly is a gem.
Babylon makes the rules, but Jah love will carry I on!

Wow. Those look like LP Matador bongos, see 1:56 for a good look. The ribbed shells, heavy-duty bottom rims, and traditional "flat" top rims are a tell-tale sign for this drum. Nice to see how they used them in this song. I guess the sticks gave more punch in order to to cut through the sound in such a higher volume venue, else hands would have worked as well or better. Nice to see them used in the mix.
Baba Selwyn I love his voice

Donald Trump makes the rules and good people suffer this is a reality !!
👍
Well said, I was going to say something along those lines, glad I read comments first :D
Trump is in politics, all politicians of all political parties are parts of the machine that is termed babylon. When the time comes that this is recognised by the people, we have a chance to change. "Until that day, the dream of lasting peace, world citizenship, will remain just an illusion to be persued, but never attained"
Trump? He’s a puppet. The American regime is evil no matter who the president is.
This version has something wrong with it, there's some kind of out of tune in the rhythm section, anybody noticed this or it's just me?
Mohammed Zakaria ali Yeah sought of augmented which is odd to authentic reggae listeners but this is Raw.
