Definitely! It was hard to watch!
It was also very laughable and a needed clear moment to help separate Abel Tesfaye from the character Tedros. Prior to Episode 3, I had wondered *_"Where does Abel end and The Weeknd or Tedros character, respectively, begin?"_* Sequences in the Valentino store, as well as sequences in the kitchen of "Jocelyn's home" were so laugh inducing and intentionally ridiculous that it became clear that Abel was in Tedros character (rattail sheek).
I never took it as if Tedros was supposed to have seemed _"threatening"_ 😁 to either the Valentino clerk(s) or to Andres. The clerks and Andres were all trying to maintain their composure & keep their jobs/careers while suddenly confronted by a short unhinged nutcase with a rattail. The "threat" was more related to characters being in work situations (store or professional cooking) and having livelihood, paychecks, or professional reputation to lose based off how they responded to some crazed weird customer or guest in your business provider's house. Not all, but there are personality types that would have reacted to Tedros the same way that the store clerks and Andres did. Even once being abruptly released, Andres (professional nutritionist/chef) had every reason to maturely walk away instead of getting in a fight in his former client's/employer's house.
The scenes weren't about Tedros being "threatening" to the clerks or the cook. The laughable scenes were meant to show viewers how sensitive, controlling, possessive, and crazed the character of Tedros has the potential to be.
Yeah but that's the point lol, I can't believe how many people don't understand film and acting, specifically the character Tedros. He's not supposed to be a great charming guy, who's also a badass he's a shitty delusional narcissistic, possibly sociopathic piece of shit who sees himself as the charming great guy who also thinks he's a badass. Have you ever seen these guys in real life? Their shit talk and "toughness" is laughable. When they press someone it's pitiful, it's not intimidating at all unless you don't know any better and have horrible self esteem and anxiety already. He nailed that shit perfectly, but for some reason everyone expects him to ACTUALLY be tough, he literally makes this obvious by stumbling over his "shit talk" people are trying way too hard to hate the show and agree with anyone without forming their own opinion. It's hilarious that people are like "he's not even intimidating, jeez terrible acting" just the fact that you're saying that proves the acting is on point because that's what you're supposed to think when you see it

I cannot separate THE WEEKEND ABEL TESFAYE from THE IDOL because he caused all this terrible changes. ABEL TESFAYE didn't want THE IDOL to lean toward female perspective. THE WEEKEND is greedy for scenes of the show.

It’s wild how every reviewer I’ve seen is exasperated at this point. Folks don’t even look like they’re enjoying reviewing it although I can’t blame them- the end of the episode sounds terrible and irresponsible.
There is one that actually likes the show and he even said the weekends acting isn’t that bad 💀

I was completely taken aback by the straight faced comedy!!! It took me a quick second to understand who trefalga was… The algorithm truly blessed my time line with you. Can I say thank you for this because cancer is kicking my behind. Ur a really beautiful wonderful soul truly as i am grieving too laugh and to give me joy happiness and distraction your a beautiful person, as your helping someone very ill in a dark place be somewhere were I don't feel alone. I can honestly see u in a Netflix comedy special as a survivor I am not able to watch this as its deeply triggering. I am in no way a prude but the way they keep doing the devils tango is cringe and does nothing to move the plot forward at points.I always look forward to the new name u give tedrous Trafalgar tetrus. The subject matter especially the violence especially the slap I can't because the stomp thing was enraging because it took me to American history X. Abel your a wonderful singer but this experiment in acting just gives me the ick, I do applaud the fact you have dipped your toes into acting but sir please know you tried but its not your strong suit. For that I respect you. 💛🇬🇧
