    4 days into my juice fast. Lost 9 pounds so far. Blood pressure went to 112/79 and has stayed around that range for the last 3 days. I check it several times a day. I rarely comment on a video, but this one is so incredibly biased and unscientific in every respect that it deserves a warning label. The investigation was biased from the beginning by comparing two commercial products -- not actual juice from a juicer. We have no idea what was in either of the "investigated" PRODUCTS. The sampling of the subjects is also biased and exceptionally limited. This is absolute nonsense with no scientific validity whatsoever.

Ditched my TV in 2005 and only watched a couple selected shows some years before that. It’s all propaganda and a tool for lowering everyone’s capacity for intelligence and their ability to question and think for themselves.

    Um ok first of all most juice cleanses are for overweight people. These girls are already healthy and a good weight. This study should’ve been done on two overweight patients....and 2 days is nothing. I did a juice cleanse and I lost about 25lb following the Joe Cross juice cleanse diet. This was a complete fail. Juice cleanses do work people! Please don’t take this fail of a study seriously

      I agree with almost every single thing you said in your comments, however your first sentence is very short sided. There are tons of normal weighted people who have done juice cleanses for a variety of ailments like Chrone's Disease, Psoriasis, Asthma, Acid reflux, high blood pressure, etc. Or as a conversion to a plant based diet to get rid of all the built up toxins from a lifetime processed foods. Or just to get healthier and shed toxins. There are thousands of fitness and heath models and nutritionists who do it 'just for the cleansing effect'. It's not just for obese people. : (

    I did a juice cleanse for 3 days and honestly I did not notice any significant changes in my body except less bloating and clearer skin. But what I did notice was a mental cleanse. Prior to the juice cleanse I had a horrible relationship with food but going through the process of saying no to all the foods I love gave me the confidence to continue to do that and make a lifestyle change. So for me it was more about a mental cleanse not really a body cleanse.

    • @joyisaiah98
      @joyisaiah98 Před 2 lety +6

      That’s great you had some significant positive mental changes after your 3-day juice cleanse, but the fact that you glossed over the physical changes as if they weren’t that significant is funny to me. You had less bloating and clearer skin in just 3 days on this cleanse? Skin care alone is a multi-billion dollar industry; people spend all kinds of money to try to get clearer skin, yet after a short time, you improved these issues with juicing fruits and/or vegetables. This actually shows how powerful juicing is for not only mental but physical health. Imagine what just a few more days on a cleanse would do for you physically, not to mention, mentally.

    If you do enough research and cleanse correctly you will feel awful during it because all those toxins sitting in your body are being pulled to the surface BUT being flushed out. Once your cleanse is over and you eat healthy you won’t feel awful anymore. And of course you will feel hungry during it, but you shouldn’t feel like you’re dying of starvation if you do it right. I’ve been on a three day juice cleanse before and I still had energy, I didn’t feel like I was dying and I didn’t feeling like I was starving to death. Also, my three day juice cleanse cost $50....not over $100. Cleanses pave the way to eating healthy.

    Ok, first off, the grocery store juice is legit sugar.
    A lot of the juices meant for 'detoxes' are actual juiced veggies and fruit with high nutrient content, although, i've seen many of them with ADDED sugar (WTF!)
    Not only that, but a lot of those nutrients die after a few hours
    Making your own juice at home is cheaper, more effective, and gives you so many more nutrients, but most of all, you actually know whats going into them and you can change a few things as well, so definitely google a diy juice cleanse, or even search the nutrient content of certain fruits and veggies to make a concoction yourself that offers you the exact benefits you're looking for.

  • @jacobduncan8875
    @jacobduncan8875 Před 3 lety +2

    When you do a juice cleanse juice feast or juice fast whatever you want to call it you don't do it this way. The way the twins did the doctors are describing. You do it for a week or 2 or 3 or whatever your choice is and expect hunger feelings and expect to maybe have low energy. You should expect to be irritable sometimes but if you do it for long enough you will get the results that you are doing it for instead of thinking well this is just a fad. Most people when they try something in this case a juice fast and do it for maybe a week or a few days not long enough for any real result and then they get hungry and they go back on food they gain back what they lost and they say well, this must just not work or something. If your going to do a juice fast or keto or some other type of dietary change learn how to go about it properly. you will get the results you want but remember you don't get the results no matter how you do it if you don't stick to it long enough. I don't know if the doctors would believe it but if done for longer end properly the twins would have had better and different results.

    I thought the point of a cleanse was for the spices mixed into it... things like turmeric and ginger to reduce inflammation. I mean, I always saw it as a "reset" before making healthy lifestyle changes (I hate the term diet). I believe intermittent fasting paired with juices is a good alternative, especially for those whose daily caloric intake is too high. It has its benefits for sure, but the term detox may not be as accurate as I once thought. And even if it is a placebo effect, it's still an effect! If you think something is working and you are seeing results, who cares if it is a placebo (just don't go spending hundreds of dollars on it lol)

If the "dr.'s" did this correctly, they should have told them they would be going through some effects, hunger being the first & they would have a challenge for at least the first 3 days, so... Also, there's no comparison to store bought juicde from the shelf to freshly squeezed, (I'm assuming "cold pressed") juices.

    2days or 50days detox then get it back if you’re not going to switch up the life style.... plus most cleanses say 24hrs, 3days, 7days, lifestyle...

    This is not true u can loses about a pound a day if u do real blend juice cleans not in the juicer blend it with a super fast blender drink a lot of water, and keep your self full fooling your mind getting full with water, and keep juicing. It does change your health. I don't want to say anything mean but this information is wrong about the show. Also if u can't juice all day, then do fasting from the night before last healthy meal, then next day drink green tea for energy avoid irritability, open mind, Horse tail tea, hibiscus and lemon grass teas and other if u like and regular water as well, drink sugar free electrolites. and then the real green juice for 3 days you will see results.

    OMG, what is wrong with these people 😂 the two options were ridiculous . Get a blender or juicer and do yourself. Load it up with the good stuff and it's less expensive than what you are already spending to eat shit.

  • @makemoresales
    @makemoresales Před 3 lety +5

    Of course you're going to put your weight back on if you go back to eating what you were eating before and the amount you were eating before lol. That proves nothing. Juicing can help you permanently lose weight if you permanently use it as part of your regular diet. That means using it to replace your higher calorie meals. PLUS juicing isn't just about losing weight, it's also about taking a break from refined sugars and syrups.. how can you do that if you're using regular store bought juice to do your "juicing" lol.. that part makes no sense.. I'm trying to juice to get away from sugar and if i have any sugar at least be from natural fruits and not refined sugar. Drinking regular juice would defeat that whole purpose.

    The Drs, show which I watch very rarely but generally have good info...
    How in world was this released?
    Maybe there's more than what's being seen in video
    These people definitely are not serious...
    They're type of people who say they want to get healthier & thinner but aren't willing to make life style changes...
    The ultimate goal of detoxing "is not" to lose weight, it's to cleanse the body ( DETOX ), weight lost is a possible indirect result...

    What a horrible experiment. They should have given them a 5 day or longer so they get beyond the fatigue stage and they can lose more weight. Juicing does work and you have to ease into solids. A 2 day cleanse is purposeless

    It seems that on this show the doctors they think more traditionally like traditional medicine and that. Something that does work like keto or juice cleanses or other things tend to be disproven or they try to on the doctor's. Traditional medicine and the doctors that practice it will tell you how keto doesn't do this or juice cleansing doesn't do that or something else doesn't do something else when in reality if they would do the right research and stop thinking about things from the traditional medicine point of view and be open minded they would realise differently.
