I’m no lawyer, want to clarify that lol, but I think they repurposed the music enough to fall within fair lines. Actually, I was contemplating playing the original Sonic theme in my video to begin with. CZcams has a super intensive copyright algorithm. Even with clips less than 5 seconds, you’re never truly safe, even if it falls under fair use. If you happen to get a copyright strike on CZcams, you can try to appeal it. However, it is sometimes extremely hard for small creators to actually get some strikes appealed. Bigger creators usually have an easier time, as their audience is large enough to spread the attention it needs. Specifically on Twitter, as that’s the best place to reach CZcams regarding customer support as of now. There are also some groups you can join made by large creators, that help with appealing unfair strikes. However I believe you have to be around the same size as the larger creators to join it (based off assumption).
