As far as I know it takes 72 hours for the grafts to settle in after that time it will take a tool to remove it from your head, hence some clinics allow you to start working on your scabs on day 6-14.
I think it takes about 12 days not 72 hours.
I read it takes 5-7 days, so that's somewhere in between

Is it advisable to apply betadine solution daily to the donor region using a sterile gauze to remove the scabs ? It is painful but my doctor recommended to do daily it for 7 days after the transplant. Because of the increasing pain, I am wondering if it's needed at all (today is day 4)

Yeah that’s called shedding it will happen to the rest of the transplanted hair but then they will all grow back

The result is complete around 12 months after the hair transplant, so your doctor will be able to determine the success rate at this point.
