Nice!! bring on part 2
Awesome vid cant wait to put my gtx2867r in my s15
My GTX2867R has been sitting on the shelf for 2 years hahahaha. I hope to get onto it soon.
Thanks for your comment Jimbob 🙂
I hope you're able to get your turbo installed soon too.
I'll have the rest of the videos on the install with lots of detail coming soon. Next video on the install in the next day or so - Part 2.
hey how much power did you make with this turbo and what rpm full boost? built motor ? head work ? head studs/headgasket? thanks you
Hey Bro,
Thanks man,
Power level result was 370hp atw or 269kw atw on a Dyno Dynamics roller dyno @ 21psi. (Peak boost spike of 22.9psi - resulting from the manual turbosmart boost controller.) Now running an Eboost2 and boost builds alot quicker in comparison.
Stock bottom end, ARP headstuds, Tomei MLS gasket, Tomei rocker arm stoppers (no issues yet). Turbo has smaller 0.64 housing, I'd opt for the larger exhaust housing now if reconsidering but because I drift the car & stay mid to high in rpms.
Hope that answers your questions, cheers 🤙
Keeping an eye on your build! Any particular reason you went this rather than G25?
Only because of price for the g25-550 would have been more over the GTX2867R. G25-550 would be most ideal I think for future proofing the build.
For me, so far the s15 has been built on a conservative budget. If wanting to push higher than 400hp atw then I'd consider the g25, I'd choose it over the GTX2867R but for my power level the GTX2867R does a nice job.
Over 400hp and you're already looking at needing to upgrade other parts along the way, clutch, transmission ect as you'd know. I'm still running the stock s15 non turbo 5 speed (same as s13/14) with an organic heavy duty clutch (budget option). So far I've drifted fine so far with no problems but I'm not super hard on the driveline/transmission with clutch kicks. So far so good 🤞
@@JoeYates77 thanks for the in-depth reply! I'll keep this in mind when making my decision in the near future.
Can´t wait to see Part 2 ^^
