I bought s21a with 519A because i thought it is high CRI with natural colors and now im kind of regreting it, especially after watching this. B35AM seems to have more natural color without that annoying yellow dominance.
Don’t regret it. I think lens AR coating is making it more yellow. After making review I replaced lens and reflector with TIR lens and it is now also purple, Duv is now negative! Try it, those TIR lenses cost few bucks. But you have to remove the front glass to fit it.
@@FlashlightTech might be the AR lens indeed. Others have said so eventhough I don't notice a difference with AR off. TBH, I even use the S21B with a 60 deg bead TIR and I still don't see anything special tint-wise. OP reflector didn't change much for the 519A 4500K. If the domed 519a didn't have such a tight hot-spot I would 've kept the smooth reflector for range. Having said these, I conclude that domed 519a 4500K isn't particularly special. On the other hand, the 5700K domed I recently got are probably the best white tint I' ve seen.
Thank you for a great comparison. Your videos have great presentation and chock-full of information, awesome videography too! Least i can do to say thank you is by subbing 😊
It looks like you can get the 519a with an OP reflector as well. Do you think that would smooth out the beam a bit more like the s21a without taking too much throw away?
Hello, thanks for the effort and all the infos and good content that you put in ur videos, is it normal to last just 2 hours on the 35% mode? And do you have any idea if the battery that they offer as combo will last the same or the run time of the battery you use is longer? Thanks in advance!
Why not add Kelvin in specifications? Having a hard time to find out what those lamps have. I am sure you have put it somewhere to appear smallish in corner for half of a second at a random point of time in video. Also it would help loads if you held the lamps still for like 10-20 seconds in a row without much movement and point somewhere in distance like that tree line behind. I see you pointing them at ground most of the time in your videos and when you move them to distance you do not hold them still, just keep moving them which makes it almost impossible to figure things out. Also the time you use both lamps next to each other should be only a small chunk of the outside beamshots (this is nice for indoor showing) and not the major part of your video. Other than that, good videos bro. Keep it on! Thank you for doing what you do so I can compare some things, but there really is much room for improvements.
That is why I ask my viewers to tell me what they want. Most time I point them so people would know which is which. With flood light it is hard to show them. I am still considering the best way to show difference. This is why I need those opinions how viewers would like me to hold or point.
This sound a bit too complicated, as it would literally take few hours to get nightshots. In summer it would be a problem, because sun is out for half an hour at night, in winter my hands would last for one review at -10C to -20C. It looks easy for others. I have only one tripod, so with throwers I put my iphone on top of Canon DSLR to shoot night shots, having flashlights mounted would need another tripod, which means more time to setup and more $ (i do not earn anything from reviews). What for others looks just few minutes, for me it takes around 1 hour to travel to dark empty place where I shoot night time shots, park a car, unpack all gear, setup tripod and camera, get settings on camera set, prepare flashlights, take shots with each flashlight, pack all gear back, 1 hour travel back home.
@@FlashlightTech Ok I didnt know you already use tripod. Makes sense now. Ofc carrying two around + mounts seems too much extra work for the benefit. For me it is not visible if you just walk outside the house to shoot that or drive a long way. Thought it was just outside the house. Probably its enough to point each lamp longer in one direction with only small movement in that case. Also you could make texts appear way longer or stay permanent while you show beam shots. Just write name of lamp + led + K value. Then people see what you compare at any time.
I don't get this videos flashing with flashlight and not showing which emitter is being used atm. That's the least extra work for the most effect that it has on video. And what is even worse, you say S21a around 3min mark, and put on table S21b...than you switch red and green in hands while flashing in nighttime. Otherwise this would be a really good video, but with so much confusion it makes it so much worse sorry.
Holding 50% of maximum brightness for 1 hour, 39 minutes is a notable accomplishment! Great review, thank you!
Good review! The runtime charts are very useful! 👍🔦
Thank you for watching :)

@@FlashlightTech thanks for the tip. I will try removing glass and see if it changes anything. Is it really noticeable or hard to tell difference?

Autolike ON 👍
Wow, 4 hours less on 10 % than the B35AM.
The 519A draws more power in exchange for better light quality.

I prefer s21a design, but with bezel

OP reflector usually just smooth out the center spot contours of the beam, it does not change the angle. Also it affects throw a bit.
Yes, it does smooth it out. The difference in throw is negligible.

As I remember my batt is 4000mah, Simon offers 5000mah, so it should last a bit more.
@@FlashlightTech ok many thanks
@@user-amin75 you are wellcome :)
@6:56 Did you actually switch the S11 into turbo? It doesn't look any brighter than at 35% here.
Hey, thanks for watching, no I kept it on 35%.

@@FlashlightTech I suggest using a mount system for one setup. Maybe some sort of tripod with horizontal mounting space metal beam or something.
