It's part two of the ultimate tubeless tire test! Do you think these tires can stand up against glass, screws, and bunny hops on to a board full of over 40 nails? I know one thing for sure - the tires aren't getting out of this test alive!
Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe it you enjoyed the video - and don't forget to let me know what you think I should do to put more tires to the test!

I'm still in amazement with what happened - But now I crave more! Let me know what other ideas you have for me to put tubeless tires to the test!
do maxxis minion tires
I really don't think that broken glass does a lot of a job in destroying tires. I occasionally rode over the broken glass dozens of times, i rode on tubed tires and i never had them broken. I can't even imagine what can destroy tubeless after this shit... I'm going tubless now
Put those tires back on and see if Orange seal will work. They claim they can seal bigger punctures than Stan’s.
1) Puncture your TL tire with that huge hook (shit happens, you know). 2) Try to ride on it at least 5 miles - an average distance to your home.
Daily MTB Rider yeah you did it
Murphy Law says when you try to kill them they won’t die, but if you were on a trail miles from anything repair them they would blow on a sharp rock. But tubeless does rock good video man and thanks.

'damn the tyres are still fine'
That what it seems like!

Under breath: damn British people
Tbh even military grade shredder won't do shit
Hello fellow Jesse
On this episode of josh destroys a side walk
Hahaha so true!
Rose is red
Sky os blue
The part you came for is at 5:52
David gamer I’d say a majority of us came for the entire video but I appreciate the timestamp!
David gamer wow you actually made a rhyme, I respect you
K They have to make money dumbass
Poor Kenda gets no respect whatsoever 😂
😂 That is so true! I have to say though, for non-tubeless ready tires, they are something else!
I have one kenda one continental tyre i prefer the rear one
Kenda will always be close to my heart full stop.
They make very good cheap inner tubes too. 😉 lol
BCpov for real though
dude walking by was thinking "thanks for breaking glass where my kids play" lol
awesome vid dude!
Haha yeah he was! No worries though, I got that cleaned up quick!
Kids love playing with glass however I find I need to brake it up for them as sometimes they are to weak and pathetic to break it right.
HAHAH. Without a paddle reference I like it
"911 what is your emergency?"
"There's a guy with a bed of nails, a helmet and a hammer smashing glass and recording himself riding on it"
911: ---
@DailyMTBrider, thanks for liking lol, can you do the same test but set it up on the trails
Kenda should use this for an ad haha
yeah they should!
Yeah
15 minute ad? Yeah, no thanks 😂😂
Like for real! Those tires refused to die
Lol. And whenever I go over a bump, my tire goes flat immediately
That's not good - maybe your rims aren't tubeless ready?
Daily MTB Rider Yeah, I found this sketchy video on how to turn any bike into tubeless and I don’t think I had the right rims to do it.
Yeah those videos are helpful.... sometimes
Daily MTB Rider I now ride with tubes like the way it was supposed to be. I will be sure to get the proper equipment if I ever want to go tubeless in the future.
so relatable
16psi is not exactly fighting back... but still awesome. Now for road tyres at 80psi. I shall see...
Do it on road tires and tell me what you find!
80 psi ? i run mine on 110 psi
80 psi? My tires are tubeless and they max at 140psi
I rune mine at a 100psi
Psh. Only real pros run at over 9000 psi
glass doesnt puncture tires. For car tires for example, running into a curb is more likely to puncture them than glass shards.
I've heard of a lot of guys that get flats with glass, but I personally haven't had any issues with it
I got a puncture from glass on my road bike, once, it happens.
I think road bikes are more prone to get flats from glass compared to mountain bikes, since the tires for road bikes barely have any ridges, while for mtbs the ridges are at least a few milometers tall
I have a bike, it breaks
@@DailyMTBRider happened to me twice
First time I see someone so happy to "finally" get flat tires !
Mad respect for using a hardtail. Gives me inspiration and the hope that I can get better.
stumbled upon these vids and its awesome how well tubeless survived! Glad I recently switched! You just earned a new subscriber and I look forward to checking out more of your vids
So stoked you found me Jantzen! and I'm stoked you got on tubeless!
Thanks for breaking glass where my kids play.
Haha my wife was on me that day to clean it all up - I had the broom and vacuum cleaner out - I thought she was going to make we walk barefoot around there to make sure it was safe 😂
Great video I just couldn't resist the "Without a Paddle" reference. I am already a tubless believer but I was surprised how much abuse it took. Makes me wonder how many holes there are in my tires. You should test a tire plug on the big eyebolt holes and see how long it holds up.
Tried toube less for a while burbt my tyer multiple times. Back to toube.
I'm convinced... I'm going to get Stan's and go tubeless. Thanks for an awesome video as always!
Let's hope they give me some love for all the business coming their way! And you're always welcome!
You're probably not going to flat from glass like that, in all my years the only glass flats I've got are at high pressures (over 70) with a sliver of glass that slowly works its way through the tire(over many miles) and scrapes the tube to puncture it, I would imagine very easy to seal tubeless. Running over a big piece of glass (bigger than a coin) laying on its side is the same as going over a flat rock.
Maybe the toughest glass test is to put some large(ish) pieces in the dirt with edges pointed up.
Now that would be a great test! I'll have to try that next!
I thought he should drive over the unbroken cookie jar, kind of like going over a broken beer bottle.
I ran barefoot for years- glass won't break the skin, much less tires
You have clearly demonstrated the use, need and justification of tubeless tyres. Good Job and I will no longer look for any other video!!
This is incredible. Good work!
Good work to those tires man! I'm just the crazy guy that's trying to destroy them!
Btw I love your torture tests, now I know how efficient tubeless tires are.
Thanks Christian! That's always great to hear!
dude you get me on my bike more than you think when you say "Ride Your Bike. Everyday." *Grabs Bike* see ya :D
That's awesome to hear man! That's the goal of the whole channel so I'm stoked it's working!
This is the perfect example that i was looking for. Thank you so effing much!!!
Love your channel so much Josh!! I'm always excited to see a new video from you! ❤️👍🏻
Thanks Tomi that means a ton!
I guess this was the video I needed to see... I'll finally go tubeless
Nice man! Now I just need to get a kickback from Stan's! 😅
Daily MTB Rider yup..lol
You will never look back. Eff u tubes
Very informative. Keep doing these kinds of reviews and comparison. Anything that sparks our curiosity regarding bikes.
Awesome video, I just subscribed!
Thanks jsbccan! That's always great to hear!
Let's wash the bike before I torture it! I'm blown away (pun intended). Great video Josh.
😂😂😂 It's like a proper burial for the tires! And thanks JF!
I wonder if you would have hopped back on and rode it around after the hook if it would have plugged from forced pressure.
It would not have Jaye - I tried for a while off camera! Great question though!
YESSS you used screws!!! This video was frikin sweet man, thanks for sharing the fun =)
Haha it was a blast to make! Happy to entertain you!
Wow! Great Video on tubeless tires. I’m not going to question them any more. Thanks.
Use the most expensive maxxis tubless Ready tires
Kenda cough* cough*
Nice vid man
Thanks man! It was fun to make!
One question, do you have a video on how to convert non tubeless ready rims and non tubeless ready tires combined to tubeless? And is it possible? Can you please try? I would appreciate it so much because im just a kid and i got no money for tubeless ready stuff.
I have not made that video but there are some great one's on youtube. If I get time I'll totally make one!
Just go to the Stan's website, lots of good info on doing it. I have done lots of ghetto tubeless (sketchy tape options, homemade sealants, etc) but doing it the right way with Stan's tape or rim strips or other brand is the way to go. It's not that much money and is the best thing you can do for your bike.
I had 5 flats on my racerking 2.2 and i wanted to make a bullet proof tire so i cutted the side walls of the tire and kept only the knobs surface ..then i glued it (knobs facing up) in the interior of a Kenda Kinetics,i knew that i wouldn t find a tire thick like that so i made it myself,i love it!
That was fun to watch...I'm sure you know that Stans had an old video out of their own torture test. Amazing stuff for sure. I'd like to see how it stands up against other sealants using the same test/tires. Apples to apples comparison. I just posted a video of a ride I took in west Texas. Came back with thorns in my tires but no leaks. Stans is the shiznit!!!
At the start I thought I was watching part one and was like why did I get a notification but then I saw part two
You know it man! Part 2 all the way!
Cool vid man - I’m convinced now so will be going tubeless on my XC and e bikes!
Nice Ice Reef! I think you'll see it's a big win!
Here is a question for you - I'm pretty sure both of my sets of tyres are not tubeless ready - is there a scientific reasoning behind tubeless ready v not in terms of compound? I'm guessing tubeless specific tyres will simply react more readily to sealant when punctured?
I really love this guy ... the gear and this test !!
Wow! I use Stan’s as well and since I’ve never had a flat with it I’ve had no reason to try anything else. Cool video!
You and me both man! They've never failed me so why change it!
12:01 The moment you realized this channel is ran by a genius.
He should took a whole house to hammer with. lmao
These spound satisfying
This is a real test. Dude youre my idol now. No fake shits or what so ever. Tubeless is amazing.
It's no joke man! You've got to try it!
I dont qeit understand the whole tubless thing . Ya the sealant seals the holes teperarily so how to fix the wholes permitly ? Do u have to buy new tires everytime you get a hole thats very expensive .
I’m convinced , thanks , outstanding
I’m tired to have flat tires last month was 4 times so my question is worth it to changed for tubeless and should I invest in good tires or just my old tires (6months of using ) I’m new in bicycle.cheers
Sorry English is not my first language
I really like your videos. Please do more how to videos. Like wheelie n stuff.
(i nailed my wheelie because of you. You are really good and experienced.)
I was considering trying tubeless on my trek Roscoe with the same exact tires but I wasn’t sure if it would work but this convinced me 🤣
What are those tires.?? Kenda but what serie???? I use 29x2.10 and I want to use 29x2.2....They looking like 2.2
😂🤣😂 that was amazing !
It's pretty incredible - that's for sure!
If I only have sealant, can I just poor it in and add some air to make the tires tubeless, or do I need tape as well?
How do you run such low tyre pressure if i have mine at 60psi and 45 psi is about a low as i go or it feels like i have a brake stuck on they cause that much drag and i runing 27.5 by 2.2 so how come i see all these video says there runing 25 psi and 15 psi if i did that i my bike it like i have a flat or is it all to do with riders weight
It's because I have 27.5x2.8's - the bigger the tires the less air pressure you need!
Hi I've got tubeless ready alloy but when I went to convert it, it's leaking from the alloy join. What's the best thing to do?
Hello there. I have a Mongoose Excursion mountain bike. I am new to bicycles and maintaining them. I want to make my bike work as an all season and terrain compatible form of transportation. Will those tires work? Was reading the comments and you mentioned the rims were tubeless ready but tires were not. What exactly does that mean? How do I make my bike work for all seasons and terrain as much as possible without putting a lot or any money into it?
The 1st time u rolled over the board (nails) i could have sworn that i saw the back tyre lose some air pressure?
They were set up for trail riding on the first go, had to pump them up to 30psi
That’s pretty crazy that they survived all that! I’ve got tubeless tires on my enduro bike but not my DH bike so it’s a sure thing for me.
I couldn't believe it myself man!
Been running tubeless for a while now and love it......
What stans sealant are you using the regular or the race sealant? And are those tubeless rims and tires or are you running a stans tubeless conversion kit on non UST wheels/tires?
Good video. I've never gone tubless. I guess the question I have is what do you do when you're in the middle of a trail and the tire actually blows out? At lead with a tube you can change it. Also, doesn't slime do the same thing as sealant?
Thanks. I was in two minds as to convert and now I will.
Something tells me this channel is gonna go big ❤️❤️
Oh thanks Blinky - that means a ton!
I got a new merida bike today, and i am just starting out on MTB, any tips pls. ps you are so underrated. thx for a good vid
I must have forgot that was a tubless conversion and not a normal tubeless setup. That was quite the test dude.
Yeah the rims are tubeless ready but the tires were not - but as we can see, they worked anyway!
amazing vid :D try doing that test with maxxis tyres they are really good
Now that's a test I'd like to see as well. But part of me would cry destroying new tubeless tires!
Omg wow dude this video iz sooo underrated!
Sold 😍.... i mean them tires survived some 400 punctures 😱
It's crazy how well they did! I hope everyone is sold!
Im buying that like NOW! guess im going tubeless
wowwwwwww...its my first time to see..that so many screws still alive the tires...now i go for tubeless
Awesome vid Man! Stans no tubes has got to sponsor you or something!!
I hope they will one day Ethan - more good dudes like you need to bug them about it!
Haha! Definitely! 👍
This is fun and insane!!! Great SOUND!!
Hey man, I ride aTokul 3 with a small frame and I love it. How about a Tokul video of some street riding?
I might be able to swing that! I'll see what I can do!
I watch a crazy guy on CZcams destroying tires as much as I want!!!! Dare to try to stop me!!!!!
Haha I'll keep trying to get you to go get out there!
maybe I missed it but I would be curios to know how old the sealeant was or how long its been in the tires before the test
Whoa I'm switching immediately this was nuts I can't believe how well they worked I've fixed 6 tiny holes in my tubes the passed week that's about to be a thing of the past and I'm going crazy changing tubes
It will be if you switch to tubeless man! It's a win all the way around!
Try hitting the sidewall with sharp rocks this is the easiest way to get you flat running tubeless. Basically you need to cut the carcass otherwise it will seal.
Before leaving: now take your tires off, parch them using notubes procedure with regular rubber cement and regular tube patch, alcohol and a hair dryer and you're back on business. Your tires are not dead.
What I didn't show was me fully taking a knife to the side walls - they're dead my friend!
'is that bike meant for trail or cross country or maybe both because I have bike which is similar to that but a different brand and im confused if my bike can handle jump trails
Will extreme heat effect the sealant?like maybe thin it out? I live in Nevada we’re it’s constantly 100-120 in the summer.
Just converted to tubeless this afternoon, glad I did after this
You won't regret it, that's for sure!
How are you able to run such low pressures comfortably?! Or do you still get quite a bit of squirm at 14-16psi
On plus size tires 15psi is like 30psi in standard tires. The bigger the air volume the less pressure you need
Ahh I new higher volume allowed lower pressures but not that drastic. Great vid as always Josh, cheers
yeah It's pretty amazing! Fat bikes use like 2-4PSI - now that's crazy!
This is just stupidly good
Rode these trails for last 7 years. Amazing place!
Are you talking about Bellingham? I hope so, because it's awesome!
Hi Josh! I'm from the Philippines and am wondering which tire sealant (hopefully Stan's sealants), how about running tubeless tires (for comparison on Maxxis & Schwalbe) on a DYNO (for cars) @ 30PSI & see how long it can hold on. If Stan's hold on the longest, then I DEFINITELY will use what you recommend. Thanks!
That was awesome! I'm sold and going tubeless definitely lol
Nice man! It's totally worth it!
EXCELENT TEST BRO ! PLEASE NEXT VIDEO maxxis exo protection compound ¿ when they resist the walls? 👌👌
this is impressive. would the Stan's sealant work on m tubular tires as well?
Poor kenda 😂 good vids!
Even more motivation to go tubeless, love the vid
It's crazy what they can handle, that's for sure! Let me know if you ever do go tubeless!
Yes do it with some tubeless ready tyres and try some sealant other than stans
That'd be a great test! Thanks for the suggestion Casey!
Well I just decided to go tubeless....awesome video man
My wheels aren’t tubless ready. Is there anything I can do with out buying new wheels
You are the best man
Thanks man! I think you guys are all the best because your support is the reason I'm here!
Your positivity and great personality keeps us coming back keep up the great videos :)
We'll that's never going away so I'll keep it up!
My heart and my stomach is too weak to watch this. Poor tires. XD
really enjoyed these videos! great fun!
I have always used stans, and never felt the need to try a different sealant, and I have now been riding tubeless tyres for a few years.
But from my experience all those things you used to test the effectiveness of the sealant are no where near the harshness of the reality of the punctures I have on the trail.
All those punctures u made on the tyre in this video, that´s the minimum protection I expect to achieve with the tubeless setup.
Real punctures on the trails that will make ou go flat while tubeless, cause large odd shaped imperfections on the rubber.
Punctures that will put them to a good test would be large side cuts, and punctures that cut through the center of the knobs and come out on the side wall, or even the ones that cut where the tyre bed sits on the rim.
Another important factor in my opinion is that on the trail when u get a puncture most of the time you don't immediately notice it, stop, get off the bike and allowed it to seal. You will keep on riding with all your weight on the bike, continuing through ruff sections until u finally notice that your tyre lost pressure. Its much harder to seal with your weight on the bike, hitting rocks and jumps, and you will lose pressure at much higher rates. It takes time and air pressure for the sealant to move, reach the puncture and activate.
Great thoughts - thanks for sharing!
At 3m: 46s when he lays his bike down on the road I know he is proving that the tyre sealant good but would it survive a car running over his bike 🤔😀
Your my favorite CZcams
You're way too nice Matteus - that means a lot@
Matteus Quine you're
I normally wouldn't comment but, there's no way in hell you're going to make those tires "not tubeless" unless you put a tube in them!
they survived the board, they deserved to live you murederer!!!
a group test of sealants would be interesting, doing same tests.
This is terrifying my treks tyres
I'm sure if they're tubeless ready they'll be fine!
Same lol
Daily MTB Rider nope tubes 700x28
Can you please tell me how can i searxh that bike online to buy it? 🚵
It's not available for purchase anymore which is a huge bummer! I may be selling mine soon though 😉
awesome vid!! im an orange guy but looks like maybe i should try stans.
There's no need to switch, they're both awesome sealants!
Good review. I must be doing something wrong then. I ride 40mm tires mostly on the road little pin holes seal but if I get one slice maybe 1/4", it will not seal until the pressure is low enough. I put a plug in and same thing, it will leak unless I keep the hole on the bottom (at rest), keep moving or lower the pressure. Any tips?
Hmmmmm - are your tires and rims tubeless ready? That makes all the difference!
Yes and agreed. It's the DT Swiss ER1600 wheelset and Vittoria Terreno Dry+ and recently a Schwalbe G-One to see if it was the fault of the Vittoria (it wasn't, the Schwalbe got a pretty big slice on the first ride). I put two Dynaplug micro plugs (instead of only one as before) and so far it seems better. My psi is in the upper range so I'll try a lower psi or maybe riding cleaner roads. If that doesn't help I'll probably go back to tubes. I'd rather change a tube than deal with a hole spewing sealant all over the place. Cheers
