7D Surgical System - Cranial Workflow Demonstration

The 7D Surgical System is the first Machine-vision Image Guided Surgery (MvIGS) system for cranial surgery. This new technology employs cutting-edge 3D optical technologies and machine vision algorithms to instantaneously register the patient anatomy using approximately 300,000 fiducial points compared to the competition, which uses less than 200. This makes registration fast and easy for supine, lateral and even extreme lateral surgical positions. For prone, post-fossa registrations, the MvIGS system can Flash right to the skull surface, eliminating the need for sponge fiducials. The MvIGS navigation technology is embedded in an onboard overhead surgical light, which eliminates line of sight frustrations in the operating room, and along with foot pedal control of the software, puts the surgeon in total control.
