Explanation= the camerawomen was filming Joost with out his approval and Joost said multiple times he didnt want to be filmed, soo he made a threatening move towards her CAMERA and she said Joost touched her(he didnt)
what exactly happened is this: after a rehearsal he came off stage and there were people filming him. he said that he didn't want to be filmed. When they continued filming, Joost made a threatening movement towards the camera, but did not touch anyone
I hope so too. I hope The Netherlands will show some backbone and pull out of the Euro Vision Song Contest for good. I'm not even a fan of Joost or the song, but this just doesn't feel right.
It wasn't even a fight, He made a ' threatening gesture ' towards the camera this could've been him pushing away the camera; considering he refused photos and videos; I am absolutely on Joost's side. This did not warrant disqualification. He has a right to not want photos 24/7. Until we're told he went nuts, or beat on her, I will defend him. x Justice for Joost.
If a person wants privacy, he should sing in the shower and not on a big stage. If you are representing your country, then forget your whims and be pleasant and friendly and go to the restroom before the performance for which you and everyone else have been preparing for a whole year. What a pity - all the preparations went to waste
@@alinarudina9408 there was an agreements made that the singers will not be photographed backstage. That teit privacy will be respected when they are not on stage. So Joost was in his right to ask not to be filmed. Even more vecause he was crying because of the last part of his song about the sad letter to his dad who passed away when he was 12 years old.
What apparently happened was that there wouldn't be any filming when he left the stage and the camera woman didn't listen, he asked her to stop several times and when she didn't he made a aggressive move. Apparently that was all that happened.
Because after his performance he wanted an emotional moment for himself, to think about his parents. This is how he operates also after his own concerts. This was his wish and was an agreement with the EBU. They are to blame for this drama. So of anyone should have been disqualified it's the EBU members.
@@RemseyYT I read on Reddit that it all was a setup by Israël. There are two video's on Twitter where they tried to film him against his wishes and provoke a fight. Apparently the woman also said antisemits should not be allowed to sing or breathe anywhere close to them, she was the Israeli songwriter. I don't know if it's true, but I wouldn't be surprised.
at 1:01 it's really funny that you said avertotros, it's avrotros, but for the rest an excelent video, and as a Dutch person i still can't get over the fact that this truly happened..
I agree with Käärijä, we still need to know what truly happened without jumping to conclusions. Also, Bambie Thug is non-binary, which means they/them pronouns
Agree in principle yes. But they better have something strong. Innocent, untill proven guilty right. Disqualification without a fair process is also pretty harsh. One complaint gets a country disqualified apparantly.
@@TheSarinaide nope. As someone who works in an industry where you frequently have to use pronouns for individuals you don't know their gender for. they/them has been used, not just for decades, but centuries to describe a non-gender specific individual. In fact, the earliest use of 'they' for an individual goes back to 1375.
It’s because he spoke out against Israel. Since things would get much more heated in Malmö than they already are, they masked the disqualification’s real reason by making up an allegation.
That's wild speculation and conspiracy talk. I can imagine the EBU being on edge because of the protests, and maybe they would have acted more clear-headed if they hadn't had to deal with so many crises at once. But for the EBU to actively stage an incident like this seems highly unlikely to me.
personally it feels like the camera woman planned it, why else would she go against the rules, and went straight to the police, and not to her supervisor. But until we know for sure, we just have to accept that he didn't get to perform at the final.
Keren Peles, the Israeli songwriter of the Israeli entry, was the camerawoman who taunted and filmed Joost Klein, while Joost allegedly indicated that he did not want to be filmed or photographed and called in the police. In another surfaced video, Dov taunts Gil- Har, news anchor of an Israeli media company, asks Joost where he was during the rehearsal.
So Joost made a agreement to not be filmed backstage but the worker still decided to film him even tho she knew about the agreement. She should have been fired and Joost should have been able to perform. To disqualifie to artist who sings about bringing Europe together is unacceptable
The EBU has been treating performers horribly for a while now, but this year has just been so much worse. Racism, transphobia, that’s all perfectly fine, but making a statement that war is bad? Oh no, far too political 🙄
For sure, you can't just disqualify someone who wants to fulfill their childhood dream. A better, but not pleasant solution, would have been if they had disqualified Joost after the entire event had taken place. And if it so happend to be that Joost won the competition, he would have to return the prize.
I am from Rotterdam, The Netherlands and altough 65 years old, I felt Joost represented my country. (although I prefer a life orchestra and public well dressed up as it was in the 1960's). I am still waiting for swedish police to come up with real evidence of what happened. Until then I say the ebu-cameramen while filming, seems to be more crazy then the performers they filmed.
Eurovision 2025 the Netherlands must only come whit Joost Klein.(or not go) Euromama!! same suit only pink and it gives him the chance to take revenge and gives him closure because now his mom is the focus of attention. And we all have a mother so it will resonate. And perhaps make a hologram(like abba)of his parents on the end so he realy can take it to the next (moonlanding) level.
As a woman I really hate and they included the "female staff member" like it's a way to use my gender to paint a more sinister picture, it feels exploitative and also it was unnecessary to know the gender
No words for this year's ESC... it's a disgrace in all ways! And I hope there will be some consequences for the EBU in general. Their : Joost broke the rules... and their camera woman who filmed him while it was said before he didn't want it, not??? Come on... ok, because of this incident Joost became even more popular. Europapa is high ranked in all charts ... but to be honest... how must Joost be feeling??? After all he was thrown out of something he really wanted to be part of... I feel sad for Joost, for the ESC.... and practically for the entire society who seems to have become pretty hypocrite
He should have been able to perform, and then afterwards they should have looked into if he should have been fined for his behavior towards the female journalist or not (which has been confirmed wasn't physical but only verbal). It seems unrelated to his performance.
Ofcourse I’m for Joost (although I don’t watch eurovision). Normally when someone is accused of something he or she is innocent until proven guilty. By immediately disqualifying him he is punished for something without being found guilty. I know from Dutch television that the lady was asked multiple time to stop filming and she didn’t stop. Thats when Joost raised his hand to push the camera away. Hopefully AvroTros will stop with Eurovision indefinitely
Its also rude to see from Nemo how he reacted when getting 12 points from NL, acted unphased wasnt even happy he got 12 points from the netherlands, and when he got 12 points from another country he was screaming happiness like it was his last day on earth! He should be ashamed.
I think his reaction wasn't about the fact that the points were from NL, but about the fact that Martin Österdah, the Eurovision producer, was the one to read the results instead of Nikkie, who resigned because of this unfair disqualification of Joost
In fact Nemo was one of the very few other contestants who did answer the question about how they felt about Joost being disqualified, and actually supporting Joost, saying something like "the EBU needs some reparing". Quite well said I thought!
Joost seems to be a person who wants to spread love and respect. It seems strange that he would threaten someone or be violent. I'm hoping it's just a misunderstanding. The eurovision team should come clear about what has actually happened.
And besides..., why not fine him , no matter how high? Why execute a death penalty right away. Death penalty? Well, if you take away someone's life goal without a way to turn it back, it pretty damn well looks like it it's shame shame shame on you ebu

This is so unfair and how must Joost feel sad with his friends and team...instead of attacking him we should comfort him and support him. EuroPapa and Joost nr 1 still the winner for me, thank you for the beautiful lyrics and meaning behind the song, stay strong Joost and his friends
No Joost , I don’t want to watch this Eurofestival anymore.
basically no one is dissing joost. let's be real, the only people who are actually dissing him are Israelis.
I do agree with Kaarija it's too vague the story isn't completely clear so no wonder fans are reacting like this
music unites, politics divide
this is what you get for being honest
Not proven to be true!: apparently, after the staff had made fun of his dead parents, he said to hear: „you again? Next time I’m gonna hit you“
and that should’ve been the threat, which he was disqualified for
Meanwhile there’s a contestant, who supports Israel AND Russia and she’s not kicked out after wanting to sing a song called October rain
The EBU is full of hypocrites
Cope and Seeth… 307 points for israel 😂🤣🤣
@@BagelBoy97 Israel is losing a lot of good will on the international stage. People are sick of them.
Apparently he made a gesture towards the camera after asking them to stop filming multiple times and they considered it harassment
@@BagelBoy97 Why would we give money to eurovision after they disqualified Joost??
they politized the show by allowing israel to participate, a good portion of the eurovision audience is alienated
If trump can still go for president then why couldn’t Joost do this
#JUSTICEFORJOOST 🇳🇱
Team Joost 💙
Explanation= the camerawomen was filming Joost with out his approval and Joost said multiple times he didnt want to be filmed, soo he made a threatening move towards her CAMERA and she said Joost touched her(he didnt)
Joost Joost Joost, he must peform..
Looking at the facts provided by Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS disqualification was disproportionate for what really has happened.
what exactly happened is this: after a rehearsal he came off stage and there were people filming him. he said that he didn't want to be filmed. When they continued filming, Joost made a threatening movement towards the camera, but did not touch anyone
He didn't even hit her...
It's fucking bullshit that he got disqualified
If it was one of the big 5 countries would any of them be sent home ,
What happened should be made public or Eurovision will be probably facing lots of contestation.
I hope the netherlands will withdraw forever from this o so non political shitshow . Good day you all .
I hope so too. I hope The Netherlands will show some backbone and pull out of the Euro Vision Song Contest for good. I'm not even a fan of Joost or the song, but this just doesn't feel right.
As a Dutch ESC fan, I really would like Avrotros and the EBU to be on good terms again. But the EBU board definitely needs to get replaced.
all the countries should withdraw until the rules are fixed up properly
justice for Joost!!!
Shame on you EBU
#JUSTICEFORJOOST
@@nobodynone Yes the delegation from Israel wasn't there to make friends.
at 1:01 it's really funny that you said avertotros, it's avrotros, but for the rest an excelent video, and as a Dutch person i still can't get over the fact that this truly happened..
Eurovision EXPOSED !!
#justiceforJoost
I agree with Käärijä, we still need to know what truly happened without jumping to conclusions. Also, Bambie Thug is non-binary, which means they/them pronouns
A woman is a "she", it's a scientific fact.
no.
Agree in principle yes. But they better have something strong. Innocent, untill proven guilty right. Disqualification without a fair process is also pretty harsh. One complaint gets a country disqualified apparantly.
They/Them is plurality, if you are talking about the whole group then sure.
Ban EBU and izra-hail
#justiceforjoost
we all know why he really got disqualified 😶🌫️
I just wanna know the name of that camera woman. that karen united the NL better then our main political leaders.
#Justiceforjoost
The real question everyone is asking is, "Why don't they show the video of the incident"?
Käärijäs comment was actually really good like that
THE front runner being taken out, without a clear explanation. That is so rigged. I hope, at least, the trans representation gets well ranked.
After doing the DEIb thing and excluding the non-rainbow, they did indeed win
you know I still cant understand why Israel would get 10 points from Ireland something is not right there and all of a sudden it went into the top
There goes one of the biggest competiton for Israel. Are we surprised?
Bro get a real hobby
@@BagelBoy97 Madam, actually, age 62 🤣
JUSTICE FOR JOOST!!
personally it feels like the camera woman planned it, why else would she go against the rules, and went straight to the police, and not to her supervisor.
- Joost Calvin Klein for president of Israël -
The EBU has been treating performers horribly for a while now, but this year has just been so much worse.
Until then I say the ebu-cameramen while filming, seems to be more crazy then the performers they filmed.
absolutely!
Thank you
Eurovision 2025 the Netherlands must only come whit Joost Klein.(or not go)
Euromama!! same suit only pink and it gives him the chance to take revenge and gives him closure because now his mom is the focus of attention.
And we all have a mother so it will resonate.
And perhaps make a hologram(like abba)of his parents on the end so he realy can take it to the next (moonlanding) level.
this cant be real...
As a woman I really hate and they included the "female staff member" like it's a way to use my gender to paint a more sinister picture, it feels exploitative and also it was unnecessary to know the gender
Bambi Thug goes by They/them
also Justice for joost!
Y'all talking about him as if you knew him since yesterday. Get a life....
i dont thin the songs name is "king of queens"..
He should have been able to perform, and then afterwards they should have looked into if he should have been fined for his behavior towards the female journalist or not (which has been confirmed wasn't physical but only verbal). It seems unrelated to his performance.
Joost needs rest after singing europapa. Give him rest.
it would be nice to know what happened
#FreeJoostKlein
It was an annoyed man walking towards a woman that was harassing him
Ofcourse I’m for Joost (although I don’t watch eurovision).
He is a victim, he is a kind and social person and does not deserve this.
A wolf in sheep's clothing if ever there was..
I stand with our Joost 💙 FU, EBU!
The reason Pewdiepie left Sweden for Japan...!
We need the name of the swedish camera woman who kept filming Joost and complained with the ebu
last year I was complaining that kaarija should win and now i will complain that joost klein should not been disqualified
Aha, I got it now. I already tought "Nemo is so nice, why would he do that?!". Thanks for clearing it up for me!
Naamalle tulevat valokuvaajat on ärsyttäviä.
Especially if they do it on purpose!
and even if he did hit that woman, people do mistakes and its not like he beat her up?
“Kept private?”
Well the EBU had no problem outing this.
Joost seems to be a person who wants to spread love and respect. It seems strange that he would threaten someone or be violent. I'm hoping it's just a misunderstanding. The eurovision team should come clear about what has actually happened.
*Do they all need to attack the operator too????* 💥🤯🤯🤯🙄🤔🤔🤔🤔
United by music
Divided by EBU
And besides..., why not fine him , no matter how high? Why execute a death penalty right away. Death penalty? Well, if you take away someone's life goal without a way to turn it back, it pretty damn well looks like it it's shame shame shame on you ebu
