What else would you expect from a contest funded by Israeli oil company "Morocan Oil" (Which indeed is an Israeli company, you can google it). They did not let it slip, when Joost confronted Israeli contestant during press conference. It was a big set-up. I am really angry, Joost was the fan favourite by far. 😤

It's not their fault, blame the reporter who was told to not film him after his performance (he sings about his dads suicide and mothers od at the end). She (the reporter) was out for blood, and it doesn't make esc look good if they let him perform but it makes them also look bad if they don't let him. There was literally no good outcome for esc in this situation, so stop crying about esc. The reporter is legally in the right but definently not morally, her camera got pushed and she cries to the cops. She doesn't even want to be on camera or speak about this situation, I hope she gets doxxed or something. Just wanted to explain how ESC literally couldn't be in the right in this situation. If they let him perform the media would spin the story if they don't let him perform people will dislike ESC for disqualifying. Their choice makes sense when you think about it.

Should have been sanctioned (maybe not disqualified) after he was so rude to the Israeli singer at the press conference. When he was rude again to the Swedish camerawomen, there is a pattern of arrogance. And I guess the incident was filmed, so they don't have to wait for the police investigation results to take measures against him. Perhaps a disqualification is a bit too harsh, but definitely a sanction is well deserved.

Dutch broadcast has just released a statement about what happened. The female photographer didn't follow the rules. Joost asked her to stop filming him and made a movement with his hands. The female considered it as a harrassment and complained about it. That’s it. Joost didn't touch her. Joost didn't said a word to her.
So this is a disproportional punishement for nothing.
    It's a shame. It's disgusting!

He is very particular on his preperations, so citing this, he will have made a good show, but for build-up of the public his acts where secret until the moment was/is there. He didn't want to blow the chance of leaking out what will happen or follow. So the camera should've been gone after several times saying NO FILMING. That's what happenend folks. The Karen that lodged the complaint was asked multiple times by Joost to stop filming. She kept filming. Then Joost made a certain " threatening" movement in her direction. The Karen in question found this to be agressive toward her. I would like to see the whole thing on video. There are a lot of witnesses and the whole room was full of monitoring cameras. @@RemseyYT I read on Reddit that it all was a setup by Israël. There are two video's on Twitter where they tried to film him against his wishes and provoke a fight. Apparently the woman also said antisemits should not be allowed to sing or breathe anywhere close to them, she was the Israeli songwriter. I don't know if it's true, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Ofcourse I’m for Joost (although I don’t watch eurovision). Normally when someone is accused of something he or she is innocent until proven guilty. By immediately disqualifying him he is punished for something without being found guilty. I know from Dutch television that the lady was asked multiple time to stop filming and she didn’t stop. Thats when Joost raised his hand to push the camera away. Hopefully AvroTros will stop with Eurovision indefinitely
