Use the transparent Gorilla Tape. The black one will absorb heat from the sun and go through a daily temperature change that makes the adhesive weaker over time. The transparent will last a lot longer, and be less noticable

Should have tried to pull them off with the force gauge before leaving them outside so you had a base strength for each tape before the weathering. Say duct tape after weather was 2.2 lbs(I paused the video to comment before he started pulling them off), what if before weather it was 2.2 lbs... It wouldn't have lost any strength...

    Hey Tyler,
I'm a long time fan but, I have a problem with the way the test was run... Without a control test the results aren't answering fully the question proposed. We should be testing the tapes against each other. We should test the weather exposed tapes against a control group. For example, say the Duck tape could hold 5 lbs before elemental exposure and 4 lbs after a month of exposure thats a decrease of 20%. Now let's say for example the Flex tape before elemental exposure could hold 25 lbs prior to elemental exposure and 18lbs after exposure thats a decrease of 28%. The Flex tape still would hold more than the Duck tape, but thats not what we should be testing. We're testing the amount of effect that the elements had on each tape, in that case even though the Duck tape held less weight the effect the weather had on it was 8% less than the Flex tape.
(Fictional scenario with inaccurate numbers just pointing out a flaw in the way the test is being conducted )
P.S. MY GIRLFRIEND AND I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! YOURE OUT HERE ASKING THE REAL QUESTIONS!!!

I think his point was simply - which tape holds the best after a month of outdoor exposure. Not how much stick strength did each tape lose after a month. If you want more thorough testing, go check out Project Farm. If you want to watch a guy dick around with tape and leave things in jars; this is the place to be.
