This was fantastic. Loved your explanations and changes of plan as you went. Your attention to detail was inspiring. And loved hearing an Aussie accent to boot!
Really enjoyed watching you build that. As always, it was fascinating to see how you overcame the build issues by clever use of jigs, in particular the sawmill jig which gave stunning results. You make it look easy, you really do. I hope you and your family gets many happy years of use out of the table - it really looked stunning.
Mate you have the patience of a saint!!! To build a table like that with a table saw and a router is a feat in its self. Well done, I'd be proud as punch to sit at that table with my loved ones. 👍👍
Thanks very much mate, it'll be getting a workout on Father's day. I hope that this build shows a lot of woodworkers out there that they don't need all the fanciest tools to achieve something to be proud of. My philosophy is, get the most out of what you have.
In the process of building something similar for my eldest son. I had loosely based it upon a Norm Abraham design but after seeing yours I am going to use some of your joinery techniques . Thanks for the inspiration mate.
Fantastic project. Love how it turned out and how you described it along the way. Also happy to find a CZcams channel from an Australian woodworker - I haven't found too many of them
Brilliant as always, I have a ton of reclaimed timber from my current renovation project, I can feel a similar piece coming on! Thanks for the video man, a real inspiration!
Thanks for the vid's just found you channel tonight. Great to see what can be done with some of the least expensive tools available here in Oz. Got to ask though are you a track of some kind sounded like someone was running a 1/4mile constantly in the background lol.
+Jamie Montague Hey, thanks very much Jamie. I like to show people that they can achieve great things with what they have, you just have to know your tools and what they're capable of. Sorry about the noise, I have noticed it in some of my videos. I have a main road at the back of my house and that noise is the sound of traffic and it does sound like a dragstrip when the video is sped up. I will endeavor to improve my videoing and editing skills. Cheers mate.
+Deevla Hey thanks Deevla. Yeah, the thought of building 12 chairs from scratch makes my head hurt :-). The cafe chairs are doing a great job. Yes the sign is glued sawdust. I have my glue in an old sauce bottle so i just wrote out the words in glue and then covered the board in sawdust. Cheers.
