- One of the most beautiful love themes, from one of the greatest movie soundtracks, by one of the most gifted movie composers. Pirates of the Caribbean is packed to the brim with fantastic music and themes. Expect many more POTC suites in the future.
Will & Elizabeth's love theme wasn't introduced until At World's End (2007), which was the third film in the franchise. It is featured heavily throughout, and also appears in Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017). This suite only compiles SOME of the times Will & Elizabeth's love theme appears in the two films. The theme also appears in the songs 'Parlay' and 'I Don't Think Now Is The Best Time' from At World's End, and 'Kill The Filthy Pirate, I'll Wait' from Dead Men Tell No Tales. But it was incredibly difficult to fit those songs into the suite, plus the video was long enough already.
Will & Elizabeth's love theme was written by Hans Zimmer for At World's End (2007), and revised by Geoff Zanelli for Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017). Songs by Zlaus Badelt from The Curse Of The Black Pearl (2003) were also used in this suite. I acknowledge that the music from TCOTBP is not part of Will & Elizabeth's love theme, but is the song that plays when the couple kiss at the end of the film.

Yes, 7:25 is especially good. Zimmer’s music is among the very best that can be written. The orchestra had it down practically perfect. It doesn’t get much better than this.

It's the kind of romance that sweeps you off your feet, the kind of passion that takes your breath away, the kind of love story we all fantasize about because in the end what we most want is to lose ourselves inside another's soul and that's what Will and Elizabeth did - they gave their souls to each other and thus lost themselves in each other and such total surrender is what true romance is all about, what love is all about. In all of human experience, there is no deeper nor more exhilarating joy than this.
I would say this song has an ineffable quality to it but I think you just nailed that down. I mean, the violin sting with the rising brass in concert. I have no idea how Hans Zimmer managed to translate that depth of love into musical form. Simply genius.
I have always loved the music written by Hanz Zimmer since Gladiator, when the first Pirates of the caribbean movie came out, my daughter was only 3 and watching it, I thought it was just a children's movie, then I heard Elizabeth and Wil's love theme & was completely captivated, especially since I saw Orlando Bloom on the set of Lord of the rings and it took me a second to realize this gorgeous dark haired Pirate with molten chocolate eyes was him & I also think Kiera Knightley is beautiful, so I began to love these movies, with the added humor of Johnny Depp. I thought their wedding & that kiss was sheer cinematic genius and then shortly after I'm crying when Will dies, great for little kids and big kids like myself

I would like this theme played at my wedding. My fiancée and I are a military couple, and have been apart for more days we've be together. This theme is very symbolic to me of being away from the one you love, but looking forward to the day we can be together again.

I watched all the five movies of the pirates of the Caribbean ithis quarantine and i can’t move on their love story was great a heartfelt tear jerking most especially when Will became davy jones it hurts especially in Part 3 at the world’s end Elizabeth’s role is different from the first two there’s character development and i can’t imagine all their fight together from the first two movies would end just like that!!! It hurts but anyways there’s a relief in part 5 Dead man tell no tales but can’t imagine fans of them waited for ten so long years!!!!

I’ve loved Hans Zimmer music before I realized it was Hans Zimmer music, or knew anything about movie scores. Pirates and Gladiator were the first movies that I remember taking notice of the music and seeking it out… years later I realized they were by the same guy and that there were so many movies scored by him that I loved. Got to see him and and orchestra live in concert playing all his popular stuff a few years ago, it was amazing and I cried the whole time, I’ll never forget it.

I think that it was this movie that two days before I was born my parents watched in theaters and that night my mom was having contractions so this movie has a very special meaning to me. My parents watched the movie July 14 2007. I was born July 16 2007.
These movies came out when I was a teenager/young adult. Will and Elizabeth will always make me 😍🥰😍🥰 It's such a beautiful romance. The kind that makes us go AWE!! Just beautiful in every way.

I agree. I haven’t watched 4 since it came out but I remember it as kind of a stand-alone Jack Sparrow side quest, which is fine but… we didn’t need that, and Will & Elizabeth were the heart of POTC for me

Agreed, I hated 5. Liked seeing Keira and Orlando back but still… so weak.
The films just never felt complete without Will and Elizabeth. Having the fifth film just have them for the opening and closing was a mistake. Just imagine the possibilities if those two were at the forefront of the film.
This relationship was ultimately what kicked off a complex and major story arc (ie: opening scene of the first movie). No Pirates movie is ever complete without these two, and the fifth movie's only good parts were the beginning and end because of that.
