Thing about art..I gotta say, at first I didn't like this video. I didn't like the slower moodier take on the song, and I didn't like the bank robbery angle, mostly because I worked security for 20 years. But I came back and watched it again. I think the most brilliant thing a band can do when they cover a song is honor it's roots while at the same time redefining it. The lyrics match the story being told. The feeling of desperation, the intensity of the situation, and the moodier cadence fits that as well. Look, judge me if you will, I don't like seeing innocent people get hurt. Or even be in danger for that matter. That's the security guy in me. But that being said, as a musician and an artist myself I gained a new appreciation for what the band accomplished here. Because honestly without the visual representation I would not have enjoyed this so much. It's hard to watch. But I think that is the point. Thing about Kurt's entire life.. it was hard to watch. I'm from Seattle I know. Anyways nice job to the band. I respect you guys taking risks artistically.
