Mini Bikes & Mud Holes! | Santa's Day Off..

On this beautiful Ohio day, the wonderful wizard himself, Mr. Tilliy2wheel showed up with some toys loaded on his trailer. He shows off his new Coleman BT200X with a Hemi Predator motor, and we take turns ripping up the yard.
Afterwards we hop on our four wheelers, Tilliy on his blue Kawasaki Bayou 200 and me on the trusty Honda Rancher 420, and we head out into the woods. I took him to the creek first thing to test the waters, things got gradually worse from there!
We ended up at an abandoned bridge where Tilliy rode his Bayou on top of one of the pillars, then we continued to play in the mud and water where I almost swamped the Rancher again. With a wet boot and a live stream coming up that pretty much wrapped up our ride.

Sometimes, I think a little lightweight high-quality small-displacement 4x4 ATV is all that's needed for fun, reliability, and being able to get to most places. My little Honda 300 Utility 2x4 could nearly go anywhere within reason and through many mud holes without issues because it was small and not heavy. My wife's father's 250 King Quad 4x4 with balloon tires (RIP from a house fire a few years ago, he had left it to us when he passed away) could go anywhere the bigger machines went, at least that is what it felt like. It was reliable(ish), the brakes were always an issue and would just float over nearly everything.
manufactures need to make entry-level 4x4's like that again. I guess there is the Rancher, but they are expensive because of Honda and still a little heavy.

Fun until you crash once than the thing never works again.
