This cover is a major tweak to the original. The original was fun, fast and good. This rendition is very emotional and mature. Match this rendition with a very smooth voice with out of this world runs and rifts - the result is a masterpiece... Daryl my man don't stop singing! Don't stop making music for us!!!

Bro I love your artistry how you make things your own you are very special man... I hoping for bigger and better things for you. Have you ever toured the states? I hope you become international superstar if you are already I'll shut up and enjoy the music
He isn't an international superstar yet but he SHOULD be. His talents are beyond singing - vocal arrangements, harmonizing, producing, conceptualization... He is vastly underappreciated. But it looks like he's trying to inch his way despite the obstacles (including people with a crab mentality).
If you haven't yet, check out these covers which I call his 'compact portfolio/talents in a nutshell': 'BOYZ II MEN medley', 'DIVE' , 'WEAK'.
And then there's this original song which he's co-written - 'BALANG ARAW'. :)
I've heard some of his covers and duets like with Morissette and others like One Sweet Day. Oh I am fully aware of this dudes vocals. As far as men in mainstream America I dont know who can touch him. If this dude can blow up in the states it's over he could be the Brian McNight or Luther Vandross of this generation. If they can when I say they meaning all these great singers they will change the scene.
@@evanselaban7058 Some youtube reactors actually compare him to Brian or Luther. Or Stevie. Or MJ. Wishing that what you say will happen - changing the scene. He's slowly starting with music production and he's fully aware of the difficult road ahead to making a mark - starting with the Philippine music industry. Since he does the vocal arrangements of the covers/songs he produces in his channel, it is apparent that he excels at bringing out the best in those he collabs with. Case in point: WEAK - there are people who say that this is the real Kyla and many are surprised that she can do that (maybe because she doesn't use it a lot anymore). There still are a lot of people who think that using runs and riffs is 'oversinging'. :P
His runs and riffs is over singing please Christina Aguilera over sings but by no means that i'm saying she's not great cause she is. This again what I hope for all these great singers that one day other great singers will cover their songs. Is that WEAK by SWJ? Do you work with Daryl?
@@evanselaban7058 Yes, it's by SWV. He's turned it jazzy and some other genres. If you could only see the initial comments for that cover. There were people (mostly Filipinos) taken aback by the copious amount of riffs and runs, the aggressive instrumentals and the beat.
I don't work with Daryl, never met him personally. I'm just an avid fan who has this nagging sense that he WILL make a breakthrough in the international scene (miraculously) and am obsessed with the thought of being proven right about this. :P Re the over-the-top riffs and runs: black musician reactors actually say that he sounds gospel and that he deeply understands what real R&B is all about.
