@@clhanon31415 Yeah I think he could be one of the greats of our time if he keeps going. I don't think I've really seen any other contemporary composers at this level? Classical music is in such dire straits and Soupelin seems to be picking up right before the insanity began (i.e. before Schonberg's rubbish that imo really ended our 300 year golden age of classical music)

When I was young and walking along some sandy dunes with my father and it began to rain. I took my shoes off to feel the sand. As the rain picked up, my father led me by the hand and I knew something was wrong. We ran through the forest as trees began to shake and the wind became deafening, cracks and creaks of the wood as the downpour started to resemble a waterfall rather than rain. A tree fell behind me in the path and I slipped and scrambled, my shoes left behind.
We got to a small shelter with other people in the town where we stayed overnight. It was a hurricane that I was at the center of, barefoot. And something about that gives me a very odd hope. Like this piece. Thank you.

Your command of harmony is great! More modern composers should have a strong grip of "traditional" harmony. You really are the most pianistic of composers I've found, your command of the color is so much like what I love about listening to Liszt, it's just a beautiful use of the tool. Fantastic stuff, the composition is obviously impressive, but your understanding for exactly how to play a piano in that way that expresses each note individually, as if you're conducting an orchestra of 88 keys... You have some serious stuff going on here.
