You’re exactly right Ashley! I’m 58 and I’m so glad I grew up in this era! We had truly talented musicians for sure! and the 80’s rock was the best ever imo..

I was 17 when this was released. I am so blessed to be raised during the 70’s -80’s with parents that were very eclectic.

The woman dancing over the cars is Tawny Kitean. She was the lead singer's wife for a couple of years. She died a few years back from the drugs that she had taken during this time in her life.

What's kind of funny, with regards to your commentary ... if you were around back then, there was a LOT of talk about tons of this music being "derivitave" and "manufactured". Hair bands IN PARTICULAR. They got it bad. Meanwhile, they could all sing and play their instruments at a very HIGH level. There was just SO MUCH talent, we were spoiled and didn't even know it. It was just THERE. We kind of took it for granted, not realizing it would indeed ... go away. And now we are where we are.

I was also lucky enough to see these guys in concert Twice!! I’ll be 53 this year, in July. So I saw them early 89, then on my 18th bday in 89, a friend flew me to Denver. We got backstage passes. David Coverdale was just a really kool guy, who married a Beauty Queen. Down to earth. Loved knowing I came there for my 18th bday. And gave me, with his drummers permission, 2 signed (by whole band) drum sticks, and the koolest leather jacket, with white fringes. Got to party with them for only a couple hours. We almost missed our flight back. But as we were leaving David Stopped me, and asked if I wanted the Band to sign the jacket. He said he didn’t want to sign it before he gave it to me. At that time the jacket was his. Now the jacket was mine, and he didn’t want to make a mark on it without my permission!! That was David Coverdale. I later found out, that jacket was specially made for him by Tawnny, his super model wife. Over 5 grand!! Still have that jacket!!

This song actually wasn't new in 1987, Whitesnake released the original version in 1982. That version is still more popular among the European Whitesnake fans, who had been following the band since 1978.
