@MotoEMNK the source code is out there to run your own servers so it will never be shut down. Whether it will be full of h4x is another story. I haven't played since Punkbuster was a thing and even then I had to ban about 1 person every single day for some time.
It's not dead. You still have dozens of servers to play on.
Btw it was not underrated at its time with tons of active players. It's like say Pele is underrated because he is not "current".

Definately one of the best shooters ever made. The engine, fast gameplay and sick aim (3heads) required.

Yes ET version (mod etpro 3.2.6) and the sounds guns are a bit modified compared to RTCW
