They can be used and adapted to many different styles of ephemera, just have fun with them! Oh my gosh! You sound just like me. I used to hide the Easter candy because my son would always find it and eat it. A year later I had to go into my cedar chest for something and there was the Easter candy! Boy, did we have a good laugh!!! I do the s ALL the time. One time we had a yard sale and I borrowed my daughter’s one dollar bills. We were in a hurry to leave the house after the yard sale and I stuck the money in my craft room. Would you believe I couldn’t find her money? I looked through everything or so I thought. I had to go through my patterns one day, months later and found a pile of one dollar bills in the middle of my pattern stash. I was so thankful.
My youngest son will be 18 in January. My other son will be 30 on the 21st of this month and my daughter is 35. My youngest was a total surprise!!!! God has a great sense of humor since I said I had to have my kids before I turned 30. Haha!!! Love these pockets. Can’t wait to make them.
Lol, yes never put things somewhere safe! It’s code for never to be found again 🤭🙃. Wow what a shocker your youngest son must have been, still it’s lovely to have had sooooo many years of kids around the house x
These are so fun to make thank you for the idea. What a fun way to teach your boys money management, And hopefully you will get less complaining about the food.
My kids, I have 7 all got to put something on the shopping list as a special treat. If someone really liked what I had made I planned to buy it again. I only shop twice a month and when groceries got low they found things that didn't sound as good was appealing now.
Wow 7 kids!!!!! That must have been such hard work!!! What a great idea to let them all put something on the list every week, I might have to do that if this doesn't work out x

Hi Tina, I love these pockets! I also love your grocery store drama 😀. No matter how much you buy, kids are never satisfied 😂. I have 6 kids, 5 girls and 1 boy. I can’t imagine having more than 1 boy to feed. They are all married out of the house. But we do have 10 Grandsons and 7 Granddaughters. And all I have to say is, I love them dearly but I’m glad I don’t have to feed them. Hugs 🤗
Oh Linda I didn’t know you had 6 kids! Wow, that must have been hard work! 17 grandchildren, how amazing, that huge family all stemmed from you and your husband, I just love that. No kids are never satisfied no matter how much food you buy! Lol x
Tina I remember you being heartbroken about losing your job and worried and look how your life has turned out. When one door closed another one opens up for you and one you seem to be love and I’m happy for you. Of course you have 25k of watchers. You are a kind, fun talented person.

Tina, I have seven brothers, and raised three boys, and well know the bottomless pit they call a stomach!! My dad once shot a deer, hung it in the barn, and he and mother went away for the weekend. When they returned, those boys (only 5 at home) had eaten every scrap of meat they could cut off of it! I enjoyed your shopping story so much. What a creative parent you are. :0)

Lol, so loved hearing about your food situation and how you handled the all too common, "There's nothing to eat," in the house. Wish I had thought of that when all our kids were at home. Something that helps with my cold glues, in the morning I switch on my desk lamp and set my glue bottles under it...I like to think that it warms to glue up and it does seem to help make it flow better. I don't know why, but my studio space is always too cold during the fall, winter and spring. It's the last place in the house to warm up. Of course in the summer, it's the last place to cool down. Love this mass making idea. So many decorative options for them.
The temperature in your studio sounds like my craft area too. I am going to try and keep it a bit warmer somehow, maybe a bowl of water as some ladies have suggested. Lol, that whole “there’s nothing to eat” just drives me mad! X

I know how hard it is to buy food that everyone likes. Good thing one son works at a store and calls to ask if we need anything. During the pandemic we went through our pantry and refrigerator and threw away expired items. We put everything away and I went shopping for what I wanted to stock up on. We are cooking even more now instead of take out food. We also have been trying new recipes. Cooking isn't my thing... i would rather clean... or better yet, CRAFT. We have done the same, gone through the cupboard and fridge/freezer to clear out any old stuff. I used to love cooking, but like you I would rather be crafting these days............not sure I would rather do cleaning! Lol. Love to you and yours also x
Tina, I'm absolutely loving the mass making projects!!! Also, for your globby glue issue you might try putting the entire bottle in a glass of warm water for a few minutes to get it warmed up. Worth a try, hope it helps.

Really pretty pockets! I love the mass makes and the chat that goes with it! I made a bunch of the envelope pockets last week and I am decorating them this week. Your family has such a good time together and you are always doing fun things! I got a kick out of the food shopping and the complaints about no food! My son was always saying that… lol! I should have made him shop… 😁 I can’t wait to see if you run out of food or if it went well all week. 😊 Brilliant idea! Have fun with it!

I have The Range close to me and often use the same glue as you. I've found that if I stand the bottle upside down in an empty old mug or glass for the duration of my crafting it doesn't get clogged at all. Some times you have to wipe dry glue off the tip but that's quick to do. Nothing worse than clogged glue!! congrats on your 25,000!

These pockets are great. I'm learning about this glue thing the sticks don't stay. I have to thin my glue out but I have to shake it alot. But it dries fast and holds tight.

Hi. We must be on the same wave length. I was working on a wallet with 3 pockets on the inside and decorated them with book page in the middle also, just like yours. I’m in Colorado and Wednesday is our restart of quarantine. Isn’t it lovely? Got a new car 🚘 in March and are still under 2000 miles and the dealer “needs to do” the services on schedule. 😂 Thank you for sharing with us. We all have to keep chins up.

Ugh...I find it super annoying when people try to suggest what to do, like my project wasn’t good enough, but I was just dying for you to add a lamppost to that decorated pocket (obviously you’d have to cut into 2 or 3 pieces). I love yours, but when I saw those lamps on your printout, I’m like....put one of those on! 😂🤣😂. Great mass making, and thoroughly enjoyed your family shopping experiment, I want updates lol

Collal all purpose glue, very cheap , no buggling . For all Europeans that cant get their hands on 3 in 1 , ist as good as that or even better!

I wonder if you wrapped a baby wipes warmer around your glue bottle or put the glue bottle in a mug with some hot water in it, if that would keep the glue running a bit more smoothly?

Tina, how can I get hold of some of your papers??? I would love the ones with the names of the streets and also the buildings. Unfortunatley, I cannot do digis as our printer has bombed out and to replace at this time, money wise, is not possible. BUT, i would love some of your "stuffies". I love them. I put all my glues in the sugarbell bottles. They seem to never clog. Love those bottles! I took my labels and printed the type of glue in each bottle.

I’ve just bought some Collall glue, which they advertise as being quick drying, all purpose glue. Haven’t used it yet, I’ll let you know if it’s any good. I think I’ve seen Gi Kerr use it. Loving the pockets, another brilliant idea. Xx

Tina!!! The glue!! 😂 I've ended up decanting mine into a very expensive (postage to the UK is extortionate) USA plastic bottle that's easy to squeeze. It seems t last better... Mx

Art Glitter Glue is the best
u could put ur glue bottle in a cup w warm water and put the cup on a cup warmer to keep it warm. could work...
Just a thought, how about putting your Tacky Glue in one of the Sugerbelle bottles. Xx

Well if nothing else it taught everybody the value of a dollar and they had to think about the weekly food and the time it takes to shop plus the value of a sale

I have been forgetting to tell you to get a really heavy piece of metal that is flat and hook you camera holder to it. My part that screws to the desk wouldn't fit where I wanted it. My husband gave me the metal piece and it is perfect.

Have you ever tried the xyron machine? I have several sizes of them and use repositional adhesive.
Or tape runner's?
LOL You can freeze cheese for up to 6 months. And your eggs cracked into a muffin pan freeze them and bag them. Then when you are going to need a few take that amount out and let them thaw and it's just like you just cracked them.
I used some fabric tack last night to try to get the elastic on one of my masks and I failed. 😕 I will have to sew it with a needle.
I haven’t tried the xyron, or those tape runners, I would definitely struggle with the latter.....they look huge, I would be knocking everything with it! Lol. Thank you for the tip about the eggs, I never knew you could freeze them. Yes I had to repair my daughters mask too x

Xyron it makes everything like a sticker and it comes in permanent and repositional. So do the tape runner's. I started small and sized up on the xyron machine and now I have small tombow tape runner's and the BIG Mama Jama one from home shopping network.
Lay it on a hot water bottle while you're working. Or a heating pad!

The gold bottle glue, was it the Hi-Tack brand? They do the ORIGINAL which was the slower drying one and one named FAST TACK also. the original you could use for more things than the fast tack.
Yes that’s the one, maybe I had the slow drying one, thank you for the clarification because I have seen many other ladies using it x
i like the art glitter glue, fabri-tac or aleenas tacky.... i have not found a glue stick that will hold at all.

Thank you Tracy. For these I used 100gsm, just slightly thicker than regular copy paper, but regular copy paper would be fine too I think x
When kids say there is nothing to eat - what they are really saying is “there is nothing on a plate, with a fork on it and ready for me to put in my mouth”. :-)

i realize I am quite randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to stream new tv shows online?
i a using same glue but i fill a small bottle with glue with thin nip and is essy to use if i remeber to but pin in side or i have to wasch nip under water,
It’s such a pain, because apart from the clogging, I really love the glue x
Instead of “Christmas “ journals, make gift idea journal. I need help with a journal for a man to give as a Christmas gift to use for the year round.
Too late I’m afraid, I’ve already started my Christmas one now. Aren’t men things just so difficult, I even struggle with cards for them x
I’m using brown paper bag like leather and really grungy pages. Lots of rust and scraps of plaid and denim. Pictures off the camera printed in sepia for journaling cards and tags. Torn edges. Couldn’t wait. Had to get started. Santa can’t be late.

Not a silly question at all, I use just the sensitive baby wipes from Aldi x
Everyone has their own experiences. I must say the Allen's tacky glue in the gold bottles EEK. It's seems extra wet and makes the paper warp...no matter how little I use. Could be operator error (me)
Yes I found that too, but I know lots of people like it, so maybe I had some operator error going on too x

Lol. I feel your pain. Good glue crappy bottle. Sorry if I upset you. You should know not to take what I say to heart. Hey maybe you could get a baby bottle warmer and put the glue bottle in it to keep it warm. Omg shut up Sherry. 😩😩😩🥴😂
Lol, don't worry Sherry, you didn't upset me at all. The worst of it is, I do agree, it is sooooooo frustrating, but the glue itself is good x
All the tacky glue I find is hard to get out of the bottle.

Have you tried putting the glue in a different bottle. I know some crafters put glue in a sugar bell frosting bottle.
Yes, that's what I've done!
I might try that. I have those lovely SugarBelle bottles that I use for my Fabri Tac, maybe time to try them for this glue also x
