With all the wiring in vehicles it's easy to see how some wires make contact with metal there goes the CAN line or something else. In the 2003-2004 F250 and F350 vehicles the 3 wires going up into the column mounted shift handle for the overdrive button at the top end of the shift handle would get cut by the steel handle opening near the base of the shift handle and turn on the MIL light. Rerouting the wires with an added loop and some split loom solved the problem. Wiring at the back of engines can be cut by engine movement or a bad design pulling the harness to tight and on and on and on. Good one Oz!
Dude, nice find. I've been doing diagnostics since fuel injection and electronics started turning up in our vehicles (30+ years) and I'd like to think I got pretty good at it. Pretty much retired now, the CAN stuff started leaving me behind as I got older. I kind of understand it but I no longer have the patience to follow it through. Nice to see there is still room in the diagnostic field for the old "knock test".
Npr, fixed with a bit of electrical tape...fantastic diagnosis. Most workshops and customers dont have the patience or willingness to spend the time and $$$ to figure this out. Great job. The dealer could have "fixed" this by installing a completely new wiring harness...😂😂😂
Don't worry about normal-type videos, DIAG-type videos are all good. This was a crazy find and it seems that lately, you are finding all the crazy wire harness problems LOL. LIKE +1

Feliz año primo . Dios que le continué bendiciendo a usted y su familia Bonito video como siempre primo . Una pregunta ¿ ese conector de 2 cables eso es el bus ? Parece a cable para la bocina 😂 muchísimas gracias primo .
Your diagnostic process and the "find" of the problem is very impressive. How many hours were billed to the customer vs how many hours did you have into this job?
Something I learned many years ago, your time is valuable, don't give it away. As long as the customer knows up front that it could be an expensive job and you find and fix the problem you are justified in charging the time that it took. Especially if no one else could fix it.
Hey oz I wished you’d include the connector of where it lives in the wiring diagram and where it connects to but I see that the connector is for OEM add on accessories.
quick question- how much time did you ended up charging the shop-- i always finiding this kind of job -very hard to explain and charge the customer properly- i would say it probably took you at least mininum 5-10 hours- or do you gave them a quote like set price-thanks
Hlo sir I have problem in my car My car O/D light is blinking and p0705 transmission range sensor error shows and not shifting gear to D Car name toyota liteace 2009 plz tell me how I can fix this. Plz help

Wow that was extensive, good job. That’s what separates you from just people who replace parts. You definitely went that extra mile
Very good work sir dealers these days don't even do work as you do you actually fix the problems

Great video and time consuming diagnosis.
Intermittent wiring issues can be one rabbit hole after another. 😂
now, that's a tough find!
Tough but extremely fun and challenging
😊😊👍👍
Yet there are clients that would say; ho just a little wire, and your charging me this much?. I'm like duh....
Your diagnostic process and the "find" of the problem is very impressive. How many hours were billed to the customer vs how many hours did you have into this job?
I went and billed 6 hours which included tear down, repair and putting it back together
Something I learned many years ago, your time is valuable, don't give it away.
As long as the customer knows up front that it could be an expensive job and you find and fix the problem you are justified in charging the time that it took. Especially if no one else could fix it.
I always tell people that electrical diagnosing can be 5 minutes or 5 hours.
How…How in the heck did you ever find that?? Crazy!
6 hours in diag
Primo disculpe ¿ donde se capacitó usted para el uso del pico osiloscopio ?
Quiero comprar pero no sé cómo se usa .
Muchas gracias primo

Yea I looked on the communications part on prodemand and couldn’t find anything hint that was 2 wire pink and white
How many hours did it take to find that? Wow!
Around 6 hours of removing stuff and doing my research
Wow @@OzMechanics
Forgot to ask you, what is on that line?
quick question- how much time did you ended up charging the shop-- i always finiding this kind of job -very hard to explain and charge the customer properly- i would say it probably took you at least mininum 5-10 hours- or do you gave them a quote like set price-thanks
Take a lot of pictures and document everything….. everything and show scope captures if possible.
Great diag and find how long did it take?
Around six hours. Research, diag and removing and putting stuff back where it was at
Good find! What is the incident connector for? Does it show the connctor in the wiring diagram?
I tried looking for it on data lines with no luck
@@OzMechanics possible J59 bus buffer,
excellent diagnostic technique listening to c's complaint to duplicate incident.

Bald spot caused by pulling your hair out dealing with problems like this?😂
Lmao tell me about it
that was obsurd. face it there was a lot of skill and a good bit of luck to find that one
