In this vlog we're still in the yoga capital of India, Rishikesh and it's time to visit a very special ashram, THE BEATLES ASHRAM. For Malin in particular this was an epic visit (however a bit pricey) as she grew up listening to her dad's Beatles albums as a teenager. And what a special place it was. You just have to see for yourself, so play the video and be amazed and don't forget to give it a LIKE.

They illegally charge you the money,, Beatles ashram is a free place to roam
@@jasonbourne5317 it used to be for free but now there's an entrance office, a big sign explaining the prices for Indians, foreigners, adults and kids outside. Think it's new since a year or maybe two. When you research online it also says there's a fee. There's also a museum inside now whit photos of the Beatles etc. "After being ignored for years, Uttarakhand's Forest Department has finally converted the ashram into an eco-friendly tourism destination. Nature walks, bird watching, and a visit to the ashram are on offer for an entry fee of Rs 150 for Indian nationals, and Rs 600 for foreigners".
Good to see you at the ashram. I think that echo room within that dome was meant for deep meditation. The ashram was a meditation retreat as such. One of the main purpose of an ashram is to learn meditation and yoga. :)
Yeah, the echo was really amazing. We have been in some places that echo before but the reverberation inside that dome was absolutely incredible. The vibrations when you hit the right note were DEEP!!! Thanks for watching as always!
The land was given to Maharshi Yogi on lease for the Ashram. This piece of land falls in Rajaji National Park. Over the decades the area of Forest reserve has shrunk drastically and the lease time also got over so forest department decided to not extend any further. Thee reluctance of the Ashram management also didn't help the case either.

Oh wow ! That's such a cool place to visit ! I went through a massive Beatles phase myself, when I was an arrogant teenager, and I thought I'd "discovered" them :D I actually said to my grandma " hey listen to that band, I thinl you're going to like them, they're gonna be famous " hahahahah !
So now that I'm a bit less of an idiot, I know more about them... but I would never have imagined there was such a place now dedicated to them in india.. or that they had been to India for that matter... super informative video, and awesome as usual !!

Thank you for this! This ashram would have been amazing even without the Beatles. But knowing that the Beatles were there along with Donovan And Mike Love (Beach Boys) is even more amazing!
Hans Lueschen my dad gave me a little 60s music lesson after watching this vlog so I now know who all these people are.
You are right though the Ashram is really cool regardless of the Beatles but the Beatles is why it's famous and why they turned it in to a eco-place and now charge money for visitors and somehow maintain it.

Do you mean to not film inside the Beatles ashram compound? It’s actually not illegal. It wasn’t true. There were no signs saying not to and everyone had their cameras and phones. There was even a professional video shoot at one spot. The guy only told us no because we mentioned CZcams and we assume he just didn’t want to be in it. Thanks for your input though 😊 We’ve done our research so we know we didn’t break any rules. Thanks for watching our video 🙏
