That game 5 start was probably the most creative start i've seen in the LCS in a long time.
I love how DL being a former member of Liquid said that he practiced the strat with Liquid. So it means that Liquid should of known how to stop the 3 quadrant jungle start, but they did not communicate it in game. It's like they knew they needed to do something but couldn't remember what. Must of been so tilting.
@@nikoaz Idk if there's necessarily a counter at the beginning, you just need to stabilize. DL also mentioned that it worked against Damwon early but it didn't matter cuz they eventually got dumpstered anyways, without Damwon doing any specific counter strat in reply.
@@nikoaz it's so much harder to recognize it, especially in game 5 when the series is as intense as it was. TL was mentally exhausted at that point so it's understandable that they wouldn't recognize it

@@ImFataI The game against Damwon was weird, TL were hard winning after this strat, they just decided to fight for drake while impact wasn’t there and gave Damwon a way back into the game
It seems like if you can’t spot this strat early, then it will heavily impact your jungler and maybe even your top laner (Nuguri was on Kayle I think, which meant that the 1v2 was unplayable)

Many say Perkz can't carry, look at G2 now
I'd still say G2 overall is better than these two teams. Just look at the countless misplays both adc's make for example, and how neither TL nor C9 seems to be able to close out their lead. If NA would have to face any other region right now I don't think they will win.
I agree that Perkz CAN carry, he's playing mid now which he's better at imo.
I dont believe Perkz leaving has much to do with G2 loosing spring though, it wasnt an ADC problem. Jankos had a dire season, and Mikyx wasnt as consistant as usual, thats my take anyways
But Perkz wasn't the one carrying G2 tho :/ If anything, he was the heaviest member of the last split he played with G2. His adc wasn't really that good outside of kai'sa and xayah.
