Yes, the top calls for a flowy woven. That's the best fabric for this pattern. I'm definitely picking up more chiffon to make it again. Easy peasy size 16 with no alterations. 🥰🥰

Yes, hand made bias tape is much better. The secret is in the pressing. It has to press flat. Sometimes silky fabrics are tough to press for bias tape. I would not recommend it for the chiffon. Be sure to cut the fabric on the bias at a 45 degree angle.
I love your runner it's so professional and your colour choices are perfect. Just imagine it in Xmas colours. I have a few embroidery machines and I think it's time l created something similar

I rarely have troubles with all my Babylocks and I do use them quite frequently. Have you learned everything from the online classes ? Yum on the apple pie bake. When my apples are ripe I’m going to try that recipe.

Now with my Meridian2, I don't have that here locally in FL. I have to drive quite a distance or I have to learn online. Fortunately I have 12 years experience with embroidery. Hi Grace. I made that top for a pj top in a knit. The neckline turned out huge. I’m going to try this in a cotton or challis, or something flowy. I love your shirts. So nice looking.

Wow that is some embroidery machine. I'm not surprised that you have started quilting and let me tell you if you get a big enough Matt you will be cutting out your garments with that rotary cutter especially simple things like t-shirts. It just goes so quick and all you have to do is put in The Notches. I would be interested to see what you say after your quilting weekend. I'm surprised they don't have you using your own machine which means they're probably going to try to sell you one. Good luck and have fun.

Hi Diane, the flowers 💐 are appliqué with a satin stitch around the edges. I cut the 3 tees in 1 day and sewed up the next. It's a quick sew. Have a lovely 😍 weekend ❤️

An olfa cutting mat. I use my big one to cut out clothing with my rotary cutter. Gives me cleaner lines and it's way faster than scissors.

It is amazing what it can do. Great colors on the table runner and so perfect also. Where are you going to use it? Did you sew them together RST and then used the strips on the back? Would like to see how you joined them. I am working on a quilt right now and hope to quilt it in sections on my machine. I have some built in designs that will work. I am going to use it on my breakfast table. And also show it next month at "Show and Share" in the 2 quilt groups I've joined. Yes I sewed each block RST with the strips sandwiched in and then pressed and machine sewed in the back. It's hard to describe but the Pickle Pie Design instructions have illustrations. Her instructions are the best! I highly recommend. Go to the PicklePieDesigns website and go to Embroidery Designs and then select Quilts. Grace, your 3 summer tops are lovely but your table runner is gorgeous. Are the flowers appliquéd around their edges or are they solidly filled in with thread? I’m surprised that you had time to make 3 garments as well as making the runner. Looks like an involved make. . I love it! ❤️🇨🇦🧵
Hi Diane, the flowers 💐 are appliqué with a satin stitch around the edges. I cut the 3 tees in 1 day and sewed up the next. It's a quick sew. Have a lovely 😍 weekend ❤️

I wish I could eat your Apple pie over a coffee. however I'm in Australia. did you know we are as a country going broke. and running out of resources for electricity... talk of a power plant being built and holding 90-100 years into the future worth of electrcity.... but we have to vote liberal to get it. sad how the country has to vote. grace if I ever travel I'll drop you a line and we could perhaps go fabric shopping 🎉😂

The tops are lovely, but did you think to eliminate the opening at the neck in the back since you dont really need it? I have this pattern and thought it was for knits. Ill have to look at it again!!

Nope! I don't like the Pillsbury pie crust. Homemade crust is the way to go! Then it is a perfect pie!
