- On this episode of Ben's Worx I cast my biggest epoxy resin blank using a single deep pour resin, I then attempt to turn this massive resin cast on the lathe.

#resinart #epoxy #deepcast - Jak na to + styl
Thanks for stopping by, If you have time you can check out my new range of Eggs here www.etsy.com/shop/bensworx
i'd love that in my home
Hi Ben big fan. Can you do a hand carved Pyramid with that huge 20L ressin it would be so awesome. Thank you.
Hi Ben, What wood do you use...???
Did you brush the epoxy on the wood before your pour?
Are you related to Dataless822? your voices sound somewhat similar
Those bubbles are epicly placed almost as if they were placed there intentionally. Too freaking awesome
Thanks Mate, yeah it worked out well 👍
I thought the same thing!
No i saw imperfections
@@-Prakriti oh my fucking god you just had to open your mouth
yes those bubbles worked out nicely happy accident
You could now make a silicone mould of the finished egg, using the 10l bucket as a hard case and then you could have a mould to pour future big eggs without all the wastage. They'd just be a bit smaller after the clean up.
That was really cool. I actually liked the bubbles coming up from the burl. It added some drama to the piece.
Thanks Jim, I think so too 😊
As narrated by Morgan Freeman: "And Ben was engulfed in the resin shavings he so diligently worked to remove and was never seen again."
Great job Ben! I love watching your stuff!
😂 Thanks Jennifer 😊
Totally read that in Morgan Freemans voice.
I hate it when people mention morgan freeman... now I can't get his voice out of my head... coh.. thanks !!! lol
@@kennyboswell5967 Yep... damn it !! haha
SOOOOOO UNDER RATED I DIED LAUGHING TY I NEEDED IT AND NOW I HEAR MORGAN FREEMAN NARRATING THIS IN MY HEAD I WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR STAY SAFE HEALTHY AND GODS BLESSINGS ON US ALL AND HEAVENS PANTRY SET ALL OUR TABLES TOGETHER ALWAYS HAVE A BLESSED WONDERFUL DAY TODAY JENNIFER 🤣😆😂💯🙂💚👍🏻🖖🏻
I’m so happy right now. Was going to go to bed but then this appeared in my feed.
I also think the air bubbles at the end make it look quite cool like water is firing out
Thanks for staying up Jack 😊
Same- and I have no regrets >:)>
I know where this is going...MEGA DRAGON EGG!!!!! 🤩
The other piece can be made into a shallow plant pot that makes it look like a floating land mass with a bonsai tree at the top.
Nice idea 👍
instead of a shallow pot why not have a deep plant pot slopping down into the wood, could still do the bonsai but there's space for more plants that way
@@jayathay210 young plants will die from being in deep pots
It looked like you were being trapped in a slowly escalating spider web.
It felt like it too 😂
Lol I thought the same thing
I'm not sure how well the golf balls would turn or if resin would even make a practical material for the job, but if you could make that into a bucket that would be such a cool storage container for golf balls
Yeah that would be cool 👍
Golf balls are 90% rubber gun so any heat from turning would be very Messy , cool idea about the bucket tho
The bubbles actually work very nicely. Makes it look like a large aquatic egg
A casting that size had me stressing out! Well done. Looks great.
Thanks Mate
Wow... It's gorgeous! The air bubbles definitely added to the piece, it's amazing!
Thankyou 😊
You're right about the bubbles. It added a nice little pop to the piece. 👍
Thankyou 😊
@@BensWorx you are welcome man. You always create interesting pieces.
It also looks like a night time aerial winter scene of snow, trees and roads.
I honestly have no idea how I found this channel as I have never really even heard of resin casting ... but I am sure glad I did this is a beautiful art form and you are incredibly talented
Thanks Natasha 😊
Ooh, I've been excited for this! It's almost half past one in the morning, but this is worth staying up for. 😄
Thankyou, I appreciate your support 😊
As a newer member to your channel, I'm enjoying going back to watch your older videos. I don't know how I found you but I really love your stuff! This egg looked like it was otherworldly! The bubbles were excellent features.
Thanks Lynnie, I appreciate your support 😊
I like the air trapped in it. It reminds me of the water globe.
Thanks Brian
I need to go to sleep, but I can't stop watching your videos
I love this one I Love the bubbles coming out of the burl. TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Thanks Mate 😊
That is a HUGE egg!!! Awesome!!!
Edit: Maybe make a giant golf tee out of the golf ball pour, and maybe something decorative with the larger blank? 🤷🏻♀️
I like the air bubbles
Me going about my day
Ben: would you like an egg in these trying times?
Looks like some blue volcanic dimension. The air bubbles are kind of like small eruptions happening in the dimension.
Ice volcano
@@neonxeno2 Exactly
the bubbles made it even cooler, I think it looks like the ocean, plus the bugs inside that's even better
I like the bubbles trapped in the end result, they look cool
Makes me think of an under water alien world especially with the air bubbles and those bugs trapped inside. it Turned out Great mate. 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks John 😊
The bubbles definitely added to the underwater look and the bugs was a nice touch too lol.
I agree. The bubbles did add a bit of interest to the piece. Well done! On the big one, maybe carve out the top and make a lighted planter?
Thanks Patrick, great idea
I'm curious how long it took you to clean up the resin shavings, that looks like it was quite the job itself!
As always, great work! I kind of like the bubbles that formed inside!
Thanks Mate me too 😊
I'm watching now😁
Bigger is better 😋
Thanks Jeanette 😊
@@BensWorx ummmm you're welcome LoL 😆😆
Looks great. Looks like air bubbles coming up from the bottom of the ocean. Way cool 👍😎
Thanks Mate 😊
Yes in that piece the bubbles probably improve it, a "happy little accident" as a wise man once said.
Definitely 👍
I Loved the bubbles in it. What a Great end result 👏🏻
Thanks Connie 😊
Wow!!!! Awesome job mate
Thankyou 😊
Absolutely Beautiful
Love this Massive Egg 😁
Thanks Kim
This is BANANAS! I keep holding my breath hoping you don't spill it! I can't wait to see what you do with that monster pour!
Thanks Lynette 😊
Very cool. Love the giant egg.
Thanks Bryan 😊
Awesome. Can’t wait to see what you do with the larger piece!
It would also make a crazy log stump if you carved it with bark texture
What a wonderful piece.
Thankyou 😊
Well.... now you did it, no one is ever going to want your little eggs now! :) I also loved the bubbles... like some kind of alien sea
Thanks Mate, 😂👍
Man that is bigger than I expected nice one
Can you do a casting based on the circles that appear on the wheat fields that people says that are from a U.F.O.?
I could try
@@BensWorx it is only a suggestion for a possible future project hehe
Crop circles?
This was posted at 2am CEST so I stayed up to watch and it was worth it. Looks great Ben!
Thanks Tina, I appreciate your support 😊
that is gorgeous!! I love the bubbles it gives it an undersea feel.
Thankyou
With those bubbles, it definitely looks like an ocean floor that is venting. Epic piece, Ben!
Bubbles make the burl look more like a landscape. Beautiful work.
The bubbles look almost like stars. Awesome piece of work
Thanks Mark
Love the clarity of your new resin.
The bubbles were, as Bob Ross would say, “Happy little accidents”
Beautiful piece.
Golf balls....lamp shade?
The big 20 kg ... cut into smaller sections and make table lamps with LED light strips!
Look forward to seeing your videos every week. And your commentary is the best!
WOW!!!! that turned out so cool.. LOVE IT.,.. wish i could buy that .. would love to display that at home.. one day i will own one of your egg.. just stunning.. great job.. cant wait to see what you do with the BIG ONE.. sure you have something up your sleeve .... Great Job keep it up...
Thanks Justin 😊
love the bubbles
Thanks Maureen
i actually like the bubbles, they make it look like a planet breathing and add a little magic to the pieces
That's great, Ben. You should do something like this as a premiere so you can see the comments in real time as we are making them. Also, now you need to get a mega-super big pressure pot for these castings. Take care.
Bill
Thanks Bill, definitely 👍
Awesome. The bubbles give a little something extra to the overall look and I really love the blue color.👍👍
NOWWWWWWWWWWW THATS A GIANT SHOOTER MARBLE FOR AN EPIC GAME OF MARBLES 🤣😆😂💯👍🏻🖖🏻
Now THAT was one massive burl!
And oh my goodness, could Nicole find you under all those resin shavings, or did she need a search party!?? 😱
What a beautifully clear cast. Love your egg.
The air bubbles make it look like an under water world in an egg. Well done :D.
The overhead shot was epic
Trippy polishing time lapse! :-D
Now that’s a Corker! Brilliant stuff.👍
Bet the dragon that laid that won't be walking for a while!! 😂 Awesome work Ben 👍
The bubbles made the piece more interesting to look at.
The bubbles looks like snow. It's beautiful
Amazing. Very cool egg.
Thankyou 😊
love the egg, it looks like a underwater scene, with the air bubbles and all.
I received my egg today. Epic! 🖤
Thanks Jackson, I appreciate your support 😊
Madness turned out Earths beautiful Dragon Egg. Woowsome! ;)
Before you said it; I thought it, the egg, looked good *with* the bubbles in it. This is, probably, your best egg yet.
It looks like bubbles that are coming up from the sea floor!! Love it
Lovely mate.
Thanks Cathy
I actually like the few bubbles that seem to be arising from the wood of the egg! Well done!
The bubbles really help make the piece. With the burl painted like that looks like a snapshot from scuba diving.
Amazing egg now that you have made it whats next? The whole dragon? Love it.
Thankyou 😊 I can try 👍
10:00 at your cinema right now
"revenge of the resin noodles"
XD
It looks like your looking into space. The bubbles are stars. Great job!!
I feel like the bubbles add to the piece. Gives it an extra dimension.
That egg turned out nice. I liked the bubbles too.
Love the bubbles in it. Gives it an understatement feel.
Wow Ben, that’s an amazing Dragon Egg💙🥰
Thanks Kristine 😊
The great dinosaur egg I've ever seen so beautiful🐢
Absolutely beautiful and I loved the air bubbles too. 👍💙
Thankyou 😊
That looks awesome. And I love the bubbles inside of it.
Thanks Heather 😊
I'm excited for this one
The bugs and bubbles are wonderful
Those trapped bubbles are awesome. Really make the piece.
You, sir, are a brave man. I would be like, "You know, bucket-shape is all the rage right now. Let's stick with that. And _not_ stove-in my face."
Gorgeous.
Thankyou 😊
That looks awesome wow
Thanks Beth 😊
Awesome colours...the bugs were a bonus 😁
Oh LORD that's a chunky amount of resin. I love how adventurous you are with trying new things! Really appreciate the great showing of the creative process!
I winced when I saw you standing so close the vacuum pot! "Step back, it could blow" ran thru my mind. Sorry for the reminder but......whew!
I LOVE your videos Ben, they are magnificent, no one can come close to your masterpieces no matter how they try !! Keep showing us your amazing talent!! ❤️❤️
Thanks Sherri 😊
You should make the big one into a base for a coffee table or carve a bowl chape from the top and use it as a stand for that monster you made in this video. Like a resin pedestal.
Great idea 👍
The bubbles are epic. I really like the dragon eggs
This is cool. I also was thinking it looked underwater like. Cant wait for the bigger one
That is awesome. Definitely a big egg. Great job Ben.
Another beautiful piece, Ben!
And as others have stated, the bubbles add to the effect.
Well done!
Thanks Neil 😊
Hi Ben! Absolutely love it and the bubbles are so cool! 😁👍🏻
Thanks Carole 😊
