I have to wonder if the whistler turned out to be Jackies own relative, or even her dad. Apparently her dad had a night job in the oil field, and it would explain how the whistler knew every detail of her life including when and where she went, as well as why they wanted to keep his identity a secret in order to "not embarrass the people involved" I.e. Jackie and her mom. I hate even thinking that but apparently these things happen. I've heard of other cases like this, and it's worse than any stranger

This has been in pre production for yrs. Every time a script is produced, or a re-write, it gets sent to another production company or shelved. I know of a few different writers that sold their scripts - only to have everything put on hold. I hope one day a great script will be matched up with a great production team bc this story really needs to be properly handled for the big screen (the 1982 version was sub par). Instead we get so many remakes and reboots of things that were great the first time. This story is great and needs a great horror film to go along with it. Instead we'll probably just get another Ouija film **eye roll**

The entity movie was the second movie that scared me to my core when i saw it as a kid.
I read the book and a woman gets sexually assaulted by the 'entity' . Was that put in the movie? Terrified me for years!

No 5 : isn't the movie "the Entity" based on this one. I recall seeing it when i was 14 years old, and at the start of the film they mentioned it being based on a true story. It totally freaked me out back then!

#5 there is a film called The Entity, about Doris. She was not just assaulted. I’d call it, in place of its real name….an invasion of her body. Horrifying.
Please do the chicken coop murders that happened in Wineville, California in the 1920s. You will be fascinated Of the event. Also, the house still stands where the murders happened. A lot of locals have reported seeing ghosts that resembled kids wearing clothes from the 1920s. I really hope you make a video of this 🙏🏽

The Entity film is the only movie that has ever spooked me. I think partly because sехuаl аssаult/rаpе is one of a woman's worst fears, and to not feel safe from it even in your own home, by an UNSEEN force you cannot defend yourself against and could strike at any time, is just horrifying.

Did anyone ever consider the phantom Whistler was her fiance? Maybe he didn't want to marry her but was too cowardly to back out of the wedding. That would make sense considering that the sheriff said he didn't want to embarrass the person he believed did it! That would have embarrassed not only him but her as well.
As far as the poltergeist goes, I don't know what the lady was complaining about. She should've been happy that one room in her house was ice cold in August, the middle of summer, considering her house did not have air conditioning!
