I do notice more wind noise but the tire doesn’t seem to add more than the basket by itself. At least I haven’t noticed but you are absolutely right there is more wind noise from the basket
Good question. I actually still have the donut in there because I’ve neglected to do much with the space. However it could be used as storage for tools or anything else really. I hope you enjoy your new Crosstrek!
Mine is a 2.0 from 2019. Subaru didn’t offer the Crosstrek with the 2.5 until 2021. I hope that helps! Also I love the color so I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine
Get the FB25 motor. I have one in my Forester. FB20 and FB25 have the same fuel mileage. The FB25 is slow compared to today's standards. I wouldn't want something even slower. Get the larger engine.

Is your crosstrek the 2.0 or 2.5? I'm debating getting the 2.0 in the same color.
