I wasn't able to catch this live due to time differences, but I'm really interested in the way you emulated Ad Reinhardt's work, that is to say, quite faithfully and I was wondering about what that would do for the stability of his paintings, in the most physical sense. Would he risk the paint not bonding properly by removing all the binding, or nearly all of it from the paint during his 'black' painting period? I noticed that obviously his paintings look fine, does that mean that conservators have been hard at work? This channel and this particular series of videos is a recent discovery and it's really pushed me to pick my painting back up, so thank you! Hopefully you guys can use this one the next live Q&A. :D

At 19:50 in this video you start to give info about the difference between staining using oil and acrylic, and you mention the problem inherent with the surface tension of water. I'd like to add that the addition of a flow-aid or flow improver can help to reduce that surface tension.

Thank you Corey for SO MUCH information in such a short time and making it so entertaining (like when you blushed being called Drake)! A million thanks for your comments about varnishes. I paint in acrylics and to my understanding should withstand UV rays and time, so I've never been a fan of varnishing and the way it changes my textures. Again, thank you for that. At least now when other artists make comments on my refusal to varnish....I can direct them to this video. ;)
Lastly one question. I've been experimenting with house paints lately. I've used the water based paint and primer-in-one to treat my raw canvas and sometimes to make my initial background. I really like the way they blend with quick action strokes as well as prime the canvas. Any objections to using commercial paint on canvas or precautions I should take? Clearly, I'm on a budget.
Apologies if you've already answered this as I am now going to watch every single thing you've ever published.
Greetings from Texas and I'll be watching! Cheers!

🚩🚩🚩 The Museum of Modern Art >>> I keep watching Mr. Corey D’Augustine Live Q&A Sessions...
They are so full of instructive information and "Mr. D’Augustine himself is such a great teacher... ! “
The actual videos I am watching and “re-watching” are older ones, which the Museum has been reposting more recently.
    🚩🚩However ...
Please, do bring him back in your video collections... with MORE RECENT PRODUCTIONS (i.e. newer / more recent videos).🙏
Only this evening, 11/14/2020, did I become aware that Mr. D’Augustine now has his own studio... and he is to be congratulated for that.
I need to know if he has been posting videos from his studio. If so, how / where do I find them?
I will be researching, of course, but would still appreciate the details of where he can be found today, i.e. in 2020?
Thank you so much for the great and so very informative videos the Museum has been posting and which I am following, especially in these trying Covid-19 times and lockdowns.
