    I just get the Bosch module Connect and I am very happy with this GPS alarm systèm, but the only bad point and almost a joke is the power of the alarm sound; it will not afraid even a fly...

    Hi it seems I have to have the app open on the iPhone to unlock the bike, any way to make it connect to the phone in the background, phone closed in the pocket? Thank you

      Hello user-ib6pg8ui2b, you need to allow the eBike Flow App to use your location when the app is in background mode. All the permissions required by the eBike Flow app you can find in the following link : www.bosch-ebike.com/en/help-center/asset-asf-00874

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  Před 7 měsíci

      Hello user-ib6pg8ui2b, for locking your eBike you do not need to open the app, for unlocking your eBike you need the Flow App (at least running in the background).
      If eBike Lock is enabled, your eBike will be automatically locked every time it is turned off. Turn your eBike off by pressing the On/Off button on your control unit.
      Also, your eBike will be turned off automatically if it is not used for 10 minutes or if you remove your eBike's battery or Kiox 300/Kiox 500 display (if applicable).
      To unlock your eBike, turn it on and make sure, to have your smartphone close by. Also ensure to have Bluetooth enabled and the Flow app running in the background. If you have disabled automatic unlock, tab and hold the unlock button on the home screen of the eBike Flow app.
      If you have a Kiox 300/Kiox 500 display, you can also unlock your eBike with your Kiox.

      Hello, thank you. For everyone wondering, I confirm you need to have the app running in the background for the automatic unloc to work. It also seems that after a long time iOs will put the app to sleep, so even if in the background, you will have to reopen it to allow it to communicate with the bike. Thank you,@@boschebikesystems

    do I need to be waiting 15 seconds and close to the bike for it to restart before activation ? i'm a courier so need quick activation..

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  Před 21 dnem

      Hello 1275porsche, during the initial activation of eBike Lock+Alarm, the eBike restarts twice, which can take up to one minute. However, if the feature has already been set up, no additional time is required. As soon as the eBike is switched off, eBike Alarm is activated automatically. When the eBike is switched on, the bike is unlocked either via the smartphone's Bluetooth connection or via the KIOX display. As soon as the eBike is unlocked, the motor support is enabled again and you can set off.

      @boschebikesystems  Před 7 měsíci

      Hello yannickmatthys, you have the option of logging in with the same eBike Flow App account (same access data) with different smartphones.
      If you want to successively save your activities across different smartphones in the same account, please ensure the following points:
      1. You need to be logged into the eBike Flow app on both smartphones with the same access data.
      2. To switch smartphones, start a new pairing with the "new" smartphone and make sure that the "old" smartphone is not in the immediate vicinity. Or delete the eBike from the Bluetooth settings on the "old" smartphone.
      Additionally, please note that only one smartphone can be connected to the eBike at one time.
      The link below provides a short instruction - How to connect the smart system eBike with a smartphone :

    Oooh I see. You only do the two restarts of the system the first time you're setting it up. I was afraid you'd have to spend a minute every time you locked.
    So basically, once it's set up, you actually dont need to do anything to lock it? It goes into Alarm mode automatically when you leave the bike? This was actually quite unclear in the video.
    And you only enter the Bosch app and hit the button on the bike to unlock it. If that is indeed how it works then it's awesome.
    How fast does the Lock&Alarm activate after you park the bike? 30 seconds? 5 minutes? Do you turn the bike off or just leave it running?

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  Před 11 měsíci

      Hello Flo Lou, the position is normally under the motor cover. This is not easy to dismount. If you plan to open the cover, you don't know, if that module is mounted. that is risky for a thief. Your Bosch eBike Team

    • @PaulinaStopa
      @PaulinaStopa Před 5 měsíci

      Yeah. I've been considering buying it, but when I've seen where it is mounted and how easily and quickly it can be removed it backs me away. It's a joke. It should be inside the bike frame behind the battery and require the bike battery key to get access to. Right now they can break paid cover and unplug a single cable.

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  Před 4 měsíci

      Hello PaulinaStopa, The concealed ConnectModule can only be removed with tools and time. In addition, the motion sensor detects movements on the eBike and alerts the eBike owner by sending an alarm notification to the eBike Flow app

    the Bosch Connect module with a subscription of €40 per year should improve two important points:
    first of all a “theft insurance” subscription integrated into this subscription and on a technical level increasing the power of the alarm signal which is rather ridiculous

    Hi
    Just installed and tested the ConnectModule alarm.
    I found out that the alarm shoots with the movement and sounds during 20 seconds or so. Then it stops sounding and will not sound again unless the bike is stationary for some other 20 seconds.
    Therefore, if the bike is stolen and is run away without any detention the alarm will sound for 20 seconds and no more. Is this correct?

      I just want to know if my alarm is working as it should and the pattern described (alarm sound for 20-25 seconds, then silence unless the bike movement stops and re-starts again) is the normal one.

If yes could you provide a screenshot of the status of the Connect Module, then we will be able to tell you more? This is under ("My Bike"/"components") and if you could send it to contact@bosch-ebike.com quoting reference 00246234, thank you.

    • @BoschSecurity
      @BoschSecurity Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hi @aerovideos As a general pointer, The Connect Module is able to determine the quality of the last received GPS signal. This quality also depends on the infrastructure around the current position of the bike (city, garage, open field, ...). This means there can be a radius around the position in the flow app (e.g. parking position) where the bike is most likely located. Hope this information is useful.

      Hello Mogens, with the eBike Flow app, only one eBike can be connected at a time. If you own two eBikes, you have the option of connecting the two bikes one after the other and can make individual settings for each eBike.

    But anyone can still ride off with the bike. Why not have a pedal lockout capability?

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  Před 3 měsíci

      Hello manfredstrappen7491, thank you for your feedback and suggestion. The lock function has been designed to offer an electronic lock only, therefore, no update, no data, no connection to an app, and no assistance will be given by a locked Drive Unit. A physical lock is not, and is not planned to be a part of the service. One of few reasons is to leave a space for an unwanted/accidental locks and the possibility of getting to a destination/service centre on rider´s own power support. We suggest to secure the eBike with a physical lock, if deemed necessary. Thank you

    • @boschebikesystems
      @boschebikesystems  Před 3 měsíci

      Hello manfredstrappen7491, Please note that eBike Lock will not physically lock your eBike. Your eBike can be pedaled even though eBike Lock is active. It is strongly recommended to also use a physical lock. More about eBike Lock in the following link : www.bosch-ebike.com/en/help-center/ebw-flowapp-alarm

    2:40 Why would anyone want to disable the notifications on their phone, just because they have their bike in direct view?
    Makes no sense.
    You're not going to get any notifications unless someone tries to steal it, and if someone is stealing it, your "break" is ruined anyway, so disbling it was pointless.

    First u need the module £80 then u need the cover £30 Because you’re existing cover won’t fit all this must be done by a dealer so they may apply a charge not to avoid warranty, then the subscription 3.99 a month or £39 a year
    Seems to be an expensive option especially when someone will just take it off with 3 screws (2 for battery cover and 1 for the module)
    Not for me
